These are the best times achieved from riders competing in the National Sprint Association's meet at Dakota Raceway, Smeatharpe Airfield. A new track record was set by Peter Ford's blown 750cc Suzuki Bandit called the 'Jabbawocky' at 5.868s for the eighth mile. RWYB Bike Day Entries are highlighted on page 3.

This is the ladder for the first round eliminations for the American Muscle Car Challenge. Although we were unable to complete the race proper we're hoping to conclude the semi finals and final during one of the morning Car RWYB sessions on Saturday 26 September. Hope you can make it.

Congratulations to Paul Houghton on his win in the 4th Round of the Ruler of the Eighth Mile Championship yesterday at Dakota Raceway's Drag 'N' Drift'. In a close race against newcomer Liam Harper his Honda VTR1000 was pipped on the line by Paul's strong sounding Suzuki GSXR 1000. July's winner Steve 'The Eliminator' Everett presented Paul with his trophy at the end of the meet.

Although we were unbale to conclude the semi finals and final of the American Muscle Car Challenge due to an incident in the drifting pits, it is hoped that we will be able to conclude this race at our fifth and final event of the season at Dakota on 26th September as well as run a complete round of the series on that day too.

Timing data will be available to view later this week. Thank you to everyone who attended, competed, marshalled and helped to make the event possible. See you all on Saturday 26th September.

With the recent hot summer weather, we’re asking everyone using BBQs in the pits at Dakota Raceway Friday/Saturday to please be extra vigilant in your visit to Smeatharpe Airfield, Devon.

🧯 Carry a suitable fire extinguisher with you
🔥 Keep all BBQ equipment on concrete
⚠️ Never leave a BBQ unattended
👀 Keep an eye on hot surfaces and surrounding equipment

A few simple precautions can help prevent a serious incident and keep our pits safe for everyone.

Let’s enjoy the racing, enjoy the BBQs and, most importantly, keep everyone safe.
