The Pre-School was built over 30 years ago as a result of the generosity and hard work of local people and has been part of the community ever since. We are located in the centre of the village of Upottery, near Honiton in East Devon and our pre-school operates from a self-contained building in the grounds of Upottery Primary School. We actively encourage outdoor play and are lucky to have two out
door areas for our children - one of these is a soft tarmac area with a wooden playhouse and the other is a grassed area with wooden play equipment (lottery funded in 2014), a sandpit, bird-feeding area and areas to grow plants. The pre-school serves the local community of Upottery and surrounding villages of Luppitt, Rawridge, Yarcombe, Dunkeswell and Churchinford. We also have some children from Honiton. Our staff offer individual care and attention to all the children in a supportive and friendly environment where your child can play and enjoy the early years of their learning. Our last Ofsted inspection took place in 2018 and we were awarded a 'good' status. The report said 'Children are happy and well behaved, with good self-esteem. The effective key-person system helps children to settle in. They quickly develop very good relationships with staff and each other, helping them to feel emotionally secure'.
