Rockport School is an independent, co-educational day & boarding school for pupils aged 2½-18.

With a dedicated Sixth Form College and home to the Rockport Golf Academy. Rockport School was founded in 1906 and is situated in a stunning estate on the shores of Belfast Lough. It is a fully independent, co-educational day & boarding school with Nursery, Pre-Preparatory, Preparatory and Senior School departments (ages 2½-18).

Following a rigorous interview process, our Positions of Responsibility have been awarded and we are delighted to welcome our new Student Leadership for the 26/27 Academic Year.

Our new Heads of School - Mimi and Alexander; Deputy Heads - Eva, Willow, Joe and Harry; Senior Prefects and Heads of Junior School - James and Emily, are already showing the leadership, commitment and Rockport spirit that make this school so special.

We are incredibly proud to call them Rockportians and look forward to seeing them lead, support and inspire others throughout the year. We know they will serve the school with pride and enthusiasm! 💚

What a fabulous day we had on Friday celebrating 120 years of Rockport. The Cross-Country race was a hit as always; and Jazz on the Lawn afterwards offered a lovely opportunity for current, new and past Rockport families to come together. Thank you to all who joined us!

The sun is due to shine on us for Jazz on the Lawn this Friday, 11th and we can’t wait to see you all there!

We will be joined by The pop up co, Sundaes Ice Cream NI and .americano.express who will be selling delicious food, ice creams and coffees, and of course the Rockport Bar will be well stocked (cash only).

So don’t forget your picnic blankets and see you on Friday!

Emotions were high and smiles were wide here at Rockport this morning as our GCSE cohort collected their results.

On a grey day, our pupils brought such joy to us all with an incredible set of results which included 81.2% of A*–C (9–4) grades, and an outstanding 30.8% of A*–A (9–7) grades.

Special congratulations must go to our two highest-performing students, Beth who achieved 7 A*s and 2 As, and Timofei who achieved 6 A*s and 3 As.

We are so proud of the effort all our pupils have put into their studies, and look forward to seeing you all back at school in September!

Just a few of the happy, smiling faces at Rockport this morning as our A Level cohort collected their long awaited results!

We couldn’t be more proud of our pupils, outperforming their UK and Northern Irish counterparts once again at the top grades - with 91% achieving A*-C grades, 38% achieving A*-A grades and over 10% achieving A*.

A special mention goes to Alicia who achieved three A* grades - a phenomenal result.

Well done to all our Rockport leavers, you have certainly made your mark on our school. We can’t wait to see what you do in the future, and feel privileged to have been a part of your journey.

It’s a little quiet here at Rockport, so we’re very much looking forward to welcoming our A Level pupils back to school tomorrow to collect their results!

If you’re expecting results, come in and see us in the office anytime from 9.30am - teachers will be on hand for any questions you have, or advice you might need.
