We hope our little chicks are enjoying the summer running free on a farm after Class 3 nurtured their hatching journey in their classroom. What a magical experience for the whole school.

(Sound on for the cute baby 'cheeps'.) 🐣

Class 8 ended their year of English as it started - with Seamus Heaney. Huge thanks to the Seamus Heaney HomePlace for our first visit to an OpenGround site where we walked through the Strand at Lough Beg and listened to its poem. Huge thanks too to Class 8 for loving Heaney's words and understanding his profound insights so well. 📚🖊🌱

Class 5 had a fantastic outing to meet Ben the beekeeper. Ben had 14 hives at Helensbay organics.

The children were able to get suited up and take a very close look at a hive. Seeing the eggs, grubs and worker bees. Naturally a highlight was tasting fresh honey which was still warmer than expected.

Thanks so much to Ben for sharing his knowledge and time with us. It was a memorable experience.
