The children worked hard during their HIIT session, followed by learning calming breathing techniques and taking part in some relaxation. Big well done! π

Hello! π€
I have been terrible at keeping up with our social media but in between being a primary school teacher full time, I have had some lovely sessions with families and small friendship groups.
We focused on worries, tried some yoga poses and made relaxing lavender scented eye pillows. We had so much fun....that I even forgot to take photos. π€£
I'm afraid we aren't having a summer scheme this year, sorry to those who have asked! However, I will be making some guest appearances at some local summer schemes and if you'd like to book a small group session over the summer, I have some availability left for mindfulness and yoga sessions. π§ββοΈ π§ββοΈ

π Mindfulness and yoga 3 day summer scheme in Holywood for 5 -11 year olds π
Details have been confirmed! We can't wait to bring our 3 day summer scheme to .yoga for our 3rd year. π
What our 3 days will look like:
πΏ Chill and chat to start each day (mindful check-in)
π§ββοΈπ§ββοΈ Yoga sessions with storytelling (yoga mats will be provided)
π Snack (provided)
π Meditation sessions
π Mindful activities & crafts
π₯Lunch (children to bring)
π΅ Singing with sign language
Our summer scheme will have a maximum of 15 children to ensure a safe, comforting space, that is both meaningful and beneficial to every child.

π Educalm updateπ
Sorry it's been so quiet!! I've started a new teaching post five days a week π©πΌβπ« but Educalm workshops will still be taking place during evenings and weekends/holidays.
We started our 6 week workshop with The Belfast Trust, Post Adoption Service on Thursday at .yoga and we had a lovely session in this gorgeous studio π€©

Sorry it's been so quiet on Educalm!
We have been on our honeymoon. We had an incredible time but it's also nice to be back home. π

5 half day sessions with nursery, P7, P4 and P2 complete. π

The hobermans sphere is a great way to visualise breathing in the air and letting it go. The children love it!
At Educalm, we are loving that we can teach these skills to children as young as three years old! We are fully booked until the end of June and are very grateful for them. π

βοΈ Yoga in the sunshine βοΈ
We've been so lucky over the past few months to be able to deliver outdoor sessions. It's amazing to be able to have a yoga session in the fresh air.
At Littleones Day Nursery, we have focused on teaching the children about using their senses to help them feel calm and grounded. They have been practising their mindfulness skills, which makes us so proud! π

St Finian's P7 sessions β

Throughout our sessions, the children learnt skills in relation to exam stress, emotional awareness, positive self-talk and gratitude.
Today was all about gratitude and it was amazing to hear the children take turns to say what they were grateful for. π«
The children even said they were grateful for me coming to teach them about mindfulness and exercise, which was very kind to hear. π

π High 5 affirmationsπ
This week, we taught P7 about the benefit of using affirmations to make ourselves feel good. The children learnt that positive self-talk can help them feel happier and healthier.
We've created this high 5 breath with affirmations resource. The children can stick it on their wall and if they are feeling one of their big feelings, they can focus on their breath and say these affirmations to remind themselves just how amazing they are.
