Magical Tots A huge sparkly welcome to Magical Tots! Magical Tots is a unique, creatively entwined class where children (aged 18 months +) learn through dance.

At Magical Tots, children are enlightened into the world of pointy toes and jazz hands, sparking their creativity and imagination, whilst also learning key skills and knowledge from the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. So pick up your magic wand or sword, put on your tutu or cape and get ready to shine. "Dancing is the closest thing to magic."

✨ The Magic of Movement: How Confidence Starts Before the Classroom

There are some things I believe in so strongly that I want to start talking about them more.

I’m on a mission to make early childhood magical. Not just because childhood should be full of joy, but because I believe we sometimes underestimate just how much children learn through play, movement, music and creativity.

As an Early Years teacher and performing arts educator, this is something I’m incredibly passionate about.

I want parents to see the value in those little moments — the dancing around the living room, the imaginative games, the songs, the silly movements and the freedom to try something new.

Because learning doesn’t always look like sitting still. And confidence doesn’t suddenly appear when a child walks into their first classroom.

It starts much earlier. 💫

So I’m going to be sharing more of the things I truly believe in about early childhood, education and the power of the performing arts.

I’d love you to come along for the journey. ✨

“There is no lesson that cannot be taught through the performing arts.”

It’s something I genuinely believe.

As an Early Years specialist primary teacher and performing arts educator, I’ve seen first-hand how much children can learn when we give them permission to move, create, perform and explore.

Maths can become rhythm.

Literacy can become drama.

Science can become movement.

History can become storytelling.

And confidence, communication, collaboration and creativity can be woven through all of it.

An active, creative curriculum doesn’t mean children learn less.

It can mean they learn more deeply, more meaningfully and in ways that stay with them.

For me, the performing arts aren’t an “extra”.

They’re a powerful way of learning.

Today I sat in the hairdressers… and realised I genuinely don’t know how to stop and sit still. 😂

I kept reaching for my phone. Thinking about work. Making mental to-do lists.

And it got me thinking…

As parents and carers, there is always something that needs doing.

And that’s actually part of the reason I came up with the idea for Magical Minis. ✨

I wanted to create a little pocket of time each week where you can simply be with your baby.

No washing.
No emails.
No to-do list.
Just you, your baby and a little bit of magic. ✨

30 minutes of music, movement and sensory play where you can focus on each other, without the distractions of everything else that needs doing.

And then, time for you too.

A hot drink. A little refreshment. A chat with other grown-ups. A chance to socialise while your little one enjoys being part of the magic. ☕️

Because sometimes we don’t need another thing on our to-do list.

We just need a little time to stop, connect and enjoy our babies. 👶🏼

One magical hour a week, for you and your baby. 💫

That’s the idea behind Magical Minis — and I can’t wait to bring it to life later this month. 💛

Today, we celebrate by shining a light on what makes Magical Tots teachers unique. 💜

Not only are our teachers qualified primary school teachers - with years of experience in child development and SEND support - they also hold creative arts degrees and are still actively performing! 🌟

This means your children are guided by teachers who:
