🏫🗓️The countdown is officially on! 🧸✨

👩‍🏫 Our teachers will be busy prepping the classrooms, organizing the toys, and planning lots of fun activities over the next few days and we cannot wait to welcome all of our wonderful families back to preschool on Thursday next week (3rd September)! 🎨📚

As we gear up for the first week back, we want to make mornings as stress-free as possible for you! Here is a handy checklist of everything your child needs to pack in their backpack each day:

👚Complete change of clothes: Include socks and underwear (accidents and messy play happen!).
🧋Labelled water bottle: Fresh water only, clearly marked with their name.
🌦️Weather-ready gear: A raincoat for unpredictable days or a sun hat for warm afternoons.

We hope you enjoy these last few days of summer break. We can't wait to see what amazing things your children discover, create, and build together this term. Let’s make it a fantastic year! 🌈🚀🌟

Our nurturing, play-based environment helps little ones build confidence, make friends and develop the skills they need before starting school.

Many families may also be eligible for government-funded childcare from age 2, including funded places for eligible working families and some families receiving additional support. If you’re unsure what you’re entitled to, we’d be happy to help point you in the right direction.

Nearly 30 years of nurturing young minds in Holmes Chapel 💙

For almost 30 years, Holmes Chapel Community Preschool has been a place where children have learned, played, explored and grown in a safe, caring and nurturing environment.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming hundreds of families through our doors, with many parents now bringing along their own children after attending themselves!

We believe every child deserves the very best start in life. Through play, outdoor adventures, creativity and kindness, we help children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning before they move on to school.

Thank you to all the families, staff, volunteers and supporters, past and present, who have been part of our journey over the last three decades. We couldn’t have done it without you. ❤️

🌿 Adventures Outdoors 🌿

At Holmes Chapel Community Preschool, we believe some of the best learning happens outside!

Our children enjoy free-flow access to our outdoor play area, allowing them to explore, discover and learn through play every day.

We also love getting out into our local community, with regular visits to nearby nature parks and green spaces. As part of our close links with the primary school, we enjoy using their outdoor woodland learning classroom and nature areas, giving the children even more opportunities to build confidence, curiosity and a love of the natural world.

From bug hunting and nature walks to imaginative play and outdoor exploration, every adventure helps children develop new skills while having lots of fun! 🌳🍂🐞

We cannot believe the final day of the preschool year is officially here, and we celebrated it in style with a fantastic soft play session, dance party and a fabulous graduation. 🧑‍🎓

✨What a truly magical year it has been watching your children grow, make friendships, and discover the world around them. From messy play to building giant block towers, every day has been filled with laughter and wonder. 🎨🏰

To our wonderful parents and families: thank you from the bottom of our hearts for trusting us with your precious children and for your incredible support all year long.

💖To our amazing graduates heading off to "big school" in September: we are so incredibly proud of you! You are more than ready for your next big adventure. Keep shining brightly! 🌟🚀

🔥🚒We had a fantastic time visiting our local fire station today! 🔥🚒

The children and adults who helped us on our trip out loved exploring the fire engine, trying on the heavy helmets, and testing out the sirens.

A huge thank you to the crew at Holmes Chapel Fire Station for teaching us all about how they keep our community safe!

🧽 WORKING AT THE CAR WASH! 🚗💦

🎶 “At the car wash... yeah!” 🎶 we turned into professional car detailers at our very own outdoor car wash! We grabbed our sponges, and pumped up the soapy bubbles to give our ride-on toys a deep clean. 🕺✨
