As an experienced and results-oriented mathematics tutor, I provide specialised instruction across multiple levels, including A Level, GCSE (Higher and Foundation), Grammar School Entrance examinations, and Functional Skills. My pedagogical approach is rooted in academic rigour, structured progression, and individualised support. I have established a consistent track record of excellence: 90% of my GCSE Higher students attain grades 7–9, and 75% of my A Level cohort achieve a Grade A or higher. Notably, I have maintained a 100% pass rate across both GCSE and A Level qualifications, a testament to the effectiveness of my methods and the diligence of the students I support.
Each tutorial is precisely tailored to the individual learner, with a strong emphasis on diagnostic assessment and targeted intervention. I adopt a pyramid-style model of instruction, systematically building conceptual understanding from foundational principles upwards, ensuring students acquire both fluency and flexibility in mathematical reasoning. Equally critical to academic success is the development of depth in problem-solving skills — a core focus of my teaching — which is essential for achieving the highest grades at both GCSE and A Level. In addition, I place strong importance on fostering intrinsic motivation and academic self-efficacy, aiming not only to teach but to inspire.
