We are delighted to share that Lisa Strong nee Cousins (Hood, 1998) will be returning to RHS this weekend to host her first She Sings, She Soars women’s retreat.
Lisa was among the first girls to join RHS in 1991, beginning her time in Hood House when it was the School’s only girls’ boarding house. She later became Head of House and then a Chief before leaving in 1998.
It was at RHS that Lisa first discovered her love of singing. Since leaving, she has sung on and off throughout her life and now leads two community choirs, a women’s natural voice choir and an NHS choir. All are centred around improving health and wellbeing while creating connection and a sense of belonging.
Lisa says it feels very special, if a little daunting, to bring a singing retreat back to the place where her love of music first began.
Taking place on 26–27 September, the nurturing weekend will include harmony singing, expressive art, sound bath relaxation and mindful yoga. No previous singing experience is needed, and Lisa still has a couple of places available.
We wish Lisa every success with the retreat and look forward to welcoming her back to RHS!
