Who doesn't love playing with jelly? This sensory experience gave children the opportunity to explore the jelly with their hands, squeezing and scooping it into bowls. We smelt the strawberry scent and could hear the jelly being squeezed.

Children painted ice dinosaur eggs. This activity gave children a different texture to paint onto and opened up conversations about the colours mixing as the ice melts. As the ice melted it left gaps in the dinosaur eggs and children found little dinosaurs could hatch out of the eggs.

Autumn has hit the nursery! We have made hedgehogs using different materials such as pasta and playdough. Painting the pinecone, making autumn wreaths. We have used our senses to explore jelly, water and fruits. This brings out great conversations about how it smells, looks and feels.
