At AS2Educate, we know that every young person’s journey looks different 🌱

That’s why we offer a range of services and programmes for young people aged 14 to 18, providing the structure, support and opportunities they need to make progress and prepare for what comes next.

Our offer includes KS4 Alternative Provision, Post-16 provision, long-term placements and structured reset support, with pathways combining education, personal development and practical skills.

Young people can work towards recognised qualifications, explore vocational pathways and get involved in sports and enrichment, alongside programmes including The King's Trust, The Duke of Edinburgh Awards and Arts Award! 🏆

One-to-one mentoring and tailored support also help our students build confidence, develop positive relationships and strengthen the skills they’ll need as they move towards greater independence.

Our Post-16 students have been putting their independence skills into practice in the kitchen! 🌯👩‍🍳

A recent catering session saw students preparing what looks like some very tasty chicken wraps, giving them the chance to develop practical skills they can use well beyond their time at AS2Educate.

From preparing ingredients and following instructions to managing their time and clearing up afterwards, sessions like these are all about building confidence and becoming more independent in everyday life.

It was great session, with some pretty delicious results too! 😋

A little bit of friendly competition to start the day! 🧠📰

Earlier this week, our students kicked off the morning with a Quiz of the Week, testing their knowledge of local, national and worldwide news.

It’s a great way to keep up with what’s happening beyond AS2Educate, while also sparking conversations, encouraging different opinions and getting everyone thinking about the world around them 🌍

Our Friday fishing sessions with Recovery rods 🎣🎣🎣 have been a big hit with our students! 🎣

They’ve been learning all sorts of new skills, getting hands-on with the bait and even handling the fish they catch.

There’s been plenty of friendly competition too, with the girls currently catching more than the boys. We’ll see how long they can hold onto the lead! 😄

It’s been great to see everyone getting involved, enjoying time outdoors and having a go at something different.

A big thank you to Recovery Rods for another brilliant set of sessions!

Safeguarding is never something we stand still on!

Our Designated Safeguarding Leads have registered for Safeguarding Network's DSL courses, continuing to build on the knowledge and expertise that sits at the heart of everything we do at AS2Educate 💫

We invest in this continually, so the young people in our care are always supported by adults with the most current thinking and practice behind them.

Last academic year, our students had the opportunity to take part in sessions with Edge Outdoor Activities and they absolutely loved them! 🤩

From archery and high ropes to mountain boarding, orienteering and the big zip, the sessions gave our young people the chance to get outdoors, try something different and build confidence along the way.

EDGE Outdoor Activities are running a Halloween Holiday Camp from Monday 26th October to Friday 30th October, with full and half-day options available.

If your young person enjoys getting active, taking on new challenges and having plenty of fun outdoors, it could be a great way to spend some of the half-term break.

Spaces are limited, so book early to avoid missing out! 🎃✨

Last Friday, our students got involved in supporting our Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning, baking plenty of goodies and helping to get everything set up and ready for the morning ☕🧁

It was a great opportunity to come together for an important cause, but also for our young people to put practical skills into action, work as a team and take pride in contributing to something meaningful!

A huge well done to everyone who baked, helped out and joined us on the day 👏💚

Big EXCITING news! 🎉 AS2Educate is now an approved provider for Bedford Borough Council.

It's a significant step for us, and we're really looking forward to working closely with the council to support the young people of Bedford Borough, helping them access the structured, aspirational education they deserve.

Safety always comes first at AS2Educate!

This term we've been working hard behind the scenes to make sure our fire and safety arrangements are fully up to date for the new academic year. A big thank you to Econogard, who have been brilliant to work with throughout.

Last week we ran our first fire drills of the year, and our students were absolutely brilliant. Calm, focused, and handled it all like true superstars! 👏

We're so proud of the team working behind the scenes, and of our students for taking it all in their stride.
