Residential 2026! What an incredible residential adventure our pupils have enjoyed!

From exploring the beach and searching for crabs along the shoreline 🦀, to taking part in blindfolded team activities that developed trust, communication and teamwork, every day brought exciting new experiences. The children also learned valuable life skills, including how to safely light and manage a fire 🔥, demonstrating responsibility and resilience throughout.

There were plenty of opportunities for adventure too, with pupils bravely climbing to new heights and testing their balance on challenging activities. It was wonderful to see so many children stepping outside their comfort zones, encouraging one another and celebrating each other's achievements.

A huge thank you to our fantastic staff who made the trip such a success, and to all our parents and carers for your support, encouragement and trust. We couldn't provide these amazing opportunities without your partnership.

We return home tired, happy, and incredibly proud of everything our pupils have accomplished. What a wonderful residential it has been! 😊

We are so proud of our mini marathoners!!! On Saturday, 25 pupils from Reception to Year 6 represented Preston Primary School at the TCS London Mini London Marathon, taking part in the 1-mile/2.6km race along the iconic route from Horse Guards Parade, past Buckingham Palace, and finishing on The Mall.

Every pupil completed the course, with some achieving impressive times. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our runners for their determination, effort, and enthusiasm.

We are also extremely grateful for the fantastic fundraising efforts. Funds raised directly through the marathon will be used to enhance our sports equipment, while the additional funds raised by pupils (which have been amazing!) will go towards our new playground equipment.

Each child received a medal for their achievement, and we look forward to celebrating all of our runners in Friday’s celebration assembly which all are welcome to attend. Thank you to our pupils, families and amazing Preston School Association for their support in making the day such a success.

From 08:15 to 10:45 on Saturday 25 April, presenters Rick Edwards and Swarzy Shire, together with commentators Richard Newman and three time Olympian (and two time Mini London Marathon champion) Steph Twell, will guide viewers through all the Championships action. 👏🏼

Once the broadcast ends, you can stay tuned to see thousands of children cross the iconic TCS London Marathon Finish Line throughout the day via a live stream that will be hosted on the London Marathon Events YouTube channel and TCS London Marathon page.
