Imagine a Lesson Built Around What Your Child Doesn’t Understand. 🎯

At our GCSE Saturday School, students tell us the topics that aren’t clicking — and that’s where we focus.

With just 10 students per class, our teachers have the time to:

✓ Pinpoint gaps in understanding
✓ Explain difficult topics in different ways
✓ Give students more individual attention
✓ Build confidence before moving on
✓ Help students make stronger progress at school

Tell us what isn’t clicking. We’ll focus on helping it make sense.

Brag warning coming up!!
Another thought provoking piece by one of our Year 10 Summer School students…I love these!

Let me know what you think?

AI Ruins Today’s World

Imagine a world where the land is no longer filled with farms or woodland, but instead filled with data centres. A world where original content from hardworking content creators is oppressed, while AI slop runs rampant. A world where your data is never safe. That is an AI world. Like a disease, it continues to spread. The problems with AI are endless, from horrible AI slop all the way to teen su***de. This has to stop. AI has taken jobs, land, content, data and even water. This will never end unless we do something about it because all these problems are way too familiar.

The truth about AI is that it is not as secure as many people think. This is proven by the OpenAI cyberattack, when the apparently secure sandbox completely failed, leading to an insane user data breach. The biggest problem is that not only was it their most advanced AI, but there were multiple AIs at the same time, with multiple sources saying that OpenAI has to catch up with cybersecurity. The solution? Get outside technology experts to examine the sandbox before launch so that no bias can occur.

If we don’t fix this huge problem, our data may never be safe. Rogue AI will run wild, and people will suffer at the expense of tech corporations. You need to think: what do I want in the future? Am I happy with this? This madness must end.

Some people think that this will get better and that AI will become more secure and learn from its mistakes, but they are wrong. In every scandal, the corporations never learn. This can only get worse, and it will. These scandals will become more frequent and worse every time. The people who say it will get better are the ones who weren’t affected by the data theft, so how do they know what will happen if this madness continues?

So, imagine a world where your data is safe. A world where all the electricity, water and land are put to good use. A world where you get good, truthful content. The news is no longer flooded with scandals. This is a world free from AI; a world where AI is simple. This is the world we must strive to achieve.

I’m reflecting on this year’s summer school, and enjoying showing off our awesome students’ work! 🤩

The following piece explores whether university might be the right or wrong route for you, and provides some excellent food for thought.

Just a reminder that our Saturday school starts this September - for more info and to book a place, visit our website (link in comments).

Is University a good fit for you?

Picture this - you are contemplating your future.

You are worrying about the amount of debt you will have to face and how much time you are
going to have to see your friends and family.

This is making you feel weighed down, with stress and pressure hanging over your shoulders. Your eyes are heavy, your head is pounding, and the constant workload is stressing you out. It’s a common situation for university students.

The truth is, university students are not getting enough sleep, have less time for leisure activities and are low on energy.

Around 25% of students who go to university are struggling with signs of anxiety from the large amount of work they are faced with on a day-to-day basis.

In addition, these students achieved lower scores in tests and had less sleep than students of the same age who didn’t attend university.

This explains how university can worsen a student’s life in multiple ways.

I have an answer to this problem: students must prioritise themselves over their work.

Firstly, they could look into different ways of getting to where they want to be in life. For example, apprenticeships, which are paid training opportunities, are a very reliable way of helping someone achieve where they want to get to in life.

This includes getting paid as you work for a company whilst gaining experience at the same time. Secondly, by not going to university, sleep can improve significantly because there is a vast amount of pressure reduced.

This gives young people a chance to make sure their body and mind are healthy rather than focusing on scoring perfect grades on tests. Finally, students don’t need this heavy debt weighing over them like a heavy tree.

Instead, they can get paid to do something they love and believe in.

Some people may argue that university could be worth the cost and pressure because it can lead to very successful outcomes for students later in their lives.

However, I vehemently disagree with this statement for the very reason that it completely contradicts the clear evidence stated right in front of our own eyes.

What is the point of gaining success through university if it will wreck your sleep schedule, take a massive chunk of money from you or your parents, which will forever be in the back of your mind, and make you feel as if you want to crawl into a ball and not continue with university?

Picture this… Imagine you are an apprenticeship student who has the luxury of going to sleep at a recommended time, which ensures you sleep peacefully throughout the night and wake up feeling lighter.

You walk into your place of work feeling energised and ready to smash your targets for the day.

Your day goes amazingly, and you feel as if you have accomplished what you have always wanted.

You are in control of your own life and won’t have a burden falling upon you for the rest of your life.

You have a clear mindset and know what you need to do to reach your goals.

You can work with a clear plan and know that what you’re deciding is the right choice.

🌟 This is what makes us different from traditional tutoring! 🌟

We asked our Summer School students what went well, and their feedback says it all! 💛

🎮 Interactive learning & games

🥽 VR that brings learning to life

👩‍🏫 Friendly, supportive teachers

🧪 Practical activities

😌 A relaxed learning environment

☕ Regular breaks

📚 Fun, engaging lessons

💬 Personal help, advice and encouragement

For us, learning shouldn’t mean sitting silently with a worksheet for hours.

We create an environment where teenagers can relax, get involved, have fun and build confidence while learning.

And perhaps the best feedback of all?

Our students noticed the difference themselves. 🙌

Small groups. Great teachers. Different ways to learn. GCSE tuition that doesn’t feel like tutoring. 💛

Learning beyond the classroom!

Virtual Reality can transform learning by turning abstract ideas into immersive, memorable experiences. Instead of simply reading about a concept, students can see it, explore it and interact with it, helping to improve understanding, curiosity and engagement.

VR can also be a fantastic teamwork tool, encouraging students to communicate, collaborate and solve problems together. Shared challenges can help develop important skills such as communication, critical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork.

When learning feels exciting and collaborative, students are more likely to get involved, and remember what they’ve learned! 🚀🧠
