Storytelling doesn't have to be sedentary. In fact, it's best if it's interactive.
Making story time interactive is especially important for busy children who struggle to sit down for extended periods of time.
To encourage your child to join in at story time you could try using props or puppets.
This will enrich their experience and understanding of the story, as well as capture their attention for longer.
We regularly use props and puppets in our Reading Fairy sessions. We believe in learning through play and our action-packed classes across the UK include: fun phonics and word games; sensory and performance storytelling; interactive songs and nursery rhymes; speaking and listening activities; picture book time and more!
