We are excited to announce our holiday club summer bookings are now open at Play Aloud St Andrews (Benslow Lane, Hitchin) and Play Aloud Pirton (Village Hall, High Street, Pirton)

Open Monday 27th July to Thursday 27th August.

Open hours 8am to 5pm-
* 8am- 12.30 including breakfast and snack *12.30- 5.00pm including snack and a light tea
* 8.00am to 5pm including 2 snacks, breakfast and a light tea.

Prices range between (depending on age)
8am- 12.30 £22.47 - £35.31
12.30- 5.00pm £24.61 - £39.52
8am to 5.00pm £37.45 - £ 72. 49

Packed lunches can be provided for an additional cost.

Today 4 of the Managers/Senior Managers attended Nursery World Big Day Out in London.

There were lots of seminars and plenty of conversations on Outdoor Areas in Urban Areas, The Power of Play, Multi Generational Working Environments, Safeguarding in Everyday Practice and Wellbeing for the Staff Team and the Phoenix Cups. We have lots of ideas to progress further so watch this space...

Today the teams at all sites for Play Aloud wore Green to raise Awarness of Mental Health Week. Each member of staff donated £1 to the charity and entered in to a raffle to win a Well Being Hamper from Play Aloud.

Please remember a member of the team is also available to support you, your child and your extended family. 🙏

Bethany at Play Aloud St Andrews was awarded Employee of the Month for April 2026. She was nominated by her fellow colleagues for her commitment to the role, her ability to step by and support management, and her postive relationships with all the children. Bethany was awarded a £20 voucher to treat herself this month. Well done and Thank you Bethany

Tax-Free Childcare: Good News for New Starters and Returners

If you are starting or returning to work between 1 May and 30 September 2026 can now apply for Tax-Free Childcare from 1 April 2026.

This means you can get their accounts set up and funded ahead of actually starting work.

Tax-Free Childcare provides up to £2,000 per child per year (the government tops up £2 for every £8 paid in), and it covers approved childcare including after-school clubs and holiday clubs.
