Play Aloud Samuel Lucas Play Aloud Samuel Lucas provides high quality childcare for pupils of Samuel Lucas Primary School. Whilst giving parents flexible, quality, reliable childcare.

Wrapping around the school day from 7.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Play Aloud Sam Lucas offers children aged 4-10 yrs, a nurturing, safe, healthy and creative environment. During term time Play Aloud Sam Lucas opens at 7.30am for Breakfast Club. We provide childcare, dinner and a range of activities until 6.00pm at After School Club. Play Aloud Sam Lucas is registered with Ofsted on the Early

Years and Voluntary Childcare Registers. This means are staff are trained to the highest standards and are awaiting their first Ofsted inspection. During school holidays Play Aloud Sam Lucas children can access childcare, meals and play activities from 8am until 5pm at our other local site of Play Aloud St Andrews or Play Aloud Pirton. In the holidays Play Aloud St Andrews and Play Aloud Pirton offer fabulous, messy, active, creative and interesting special activities. All of our normal childcare resources are always available if your child is not interested in the special activities on any day. We have the use of the hall within the school of Samuel Lucas. We also make use of the school's outdoor spaces when the weather permits. Our staff are all well trained in childcare, safeguarding, paediatric first aid and food hygiene. They all truly love working with children and ensuring their happiness and safety is always our priority. All of these things combine to offer high quality, varied, active, creative and nurturing childcare and holiday activities. Other Information:
We are open term time only from 7.30am to 9.00am and 3.15pm to 6.00pm. We accept all childcare vouchers, tax free childcare and all childcare vouchers

We are looking for Bank Staff to support our teams on an ad-hoc basis across our settings in Hitchin and Hertford.
This is a great opportunity if you:
• Want flexible work without committing to set weekly hours
• Are looking to fit work around family, studies or other commitments
• Enjoy working across different settings and meeting new teams
• Are happy to pick up shifts when you're available
Shifts will be offered on an ad-hoc basis depending on the needs of our settings.

🚗 FLEXIBLE PLAY WORKER – 16 HOURS PER WEEK
We also have an exciting opportunity for someone looking for 16 hours of guaranteed work per week.
This role will involve working flexible shifts across our Play Aloud settings, supporting teams where needed.
A driver is required for this position due to working across different locations.
We're looking for someone who is:
• Friendly, positive and enthusiastic
• Reliable and flexible
• Passionate about providing fun and engaging experiences for children
• Confident working as part of different teams
• Happy to work across a variety of Play Aloud settings
• Able to travel between settings as required

Annual school picnic complete, its always such a lovely event supporting Friends of Samuel Lucas.
We work in great partnership.
It was so lovely seeing families all together having fun as the sun set.
We were none stop on our stall, decorating biscuits, tattoos, rainbow face paints glitter and colouring. While sprinkling some festive feel with the ribbon sticks.
I may be very full of glitter but it was fun and we appreciate all your lovely comments.

Lots of conversations tonight regarding the big game.
It's was lovely to see the older children share their knowledge of the players and their predictions of the final result. This created conversations amongst all the children.

It was a hub of activity even the staff couldn't wait to share their predictions.

Come on boys let's do this.

Some of our junior play leaders, had a fantastic afternoon helping to interview two new candidates! 🌟

They asked thoughtful questions, shared their ideas with confidence, and made our visitors feel so welcome. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and hear what they think makes a great member of our team. The two candidates jumped straight into the process also.

We are incredibly proud of how mature, respectful, and engaged pur Junior play leaders were throughout the process. Their voices matter, and they played an important part in helping us choose the right person to join our club.

😊We were also so proud of all the children today, as they experienced their new classrooms and teachers ready for September. We had lots of water play and ice pops as a treat.
Transition day is such a milestone moment in the school calendar and we are always so proud to support our children and families.

We are excited to announce our holiday club summer bookings are now open at Play Aloud St Andrews (Benslow Lane, Hitchin) and Play Aloud Pirton (Village Hall, High Street, Pirton)

Open Monday 27th July to Thursday 27th August.

Open hours 8am to 5pm-
* 8am- 12.30 including breakfast and snack *12.30- 5.00pm including snack and a light tea
* 8.00am to 5pm including 2 snacks, breakfast and a light tea.

Prices range between (depending on age)
8am- 12.30 £22.47 - £35.31
12.30- 5.00pm £24.61 - £39.52
8am to 5.00pm £37.45 - £ 72. 49

Packed lunches can be provided for an additional cost.
