🏕 2022 RETREAT ANNOUNCEMENT!! 🧘‍♀️

We have been squirrelling away behind the scenes and we are SO happy to share that our 2022 retreat is ready!

4 days, 3 nights in your own private eco-dome with a ceiling of windows to the stars. We’re keeping it intimate so it’s 2 people per dome with a range of sizes to suit a variety of tastes and wallets! 👯‍♂️

2 private chefs will ensure you are kept nourished with vegetarian and vegan meals along with a hamper of snacks and drinks for your pod. There’s also an on-site wood fired pizza oven 🥘

Roxipixie Yoga & Ayurveda Massage and I will be leading ~18 classes and workshops over the weekend including yoga, breathwork journeys, meditation, functional breathing training, cold water immersion, Vipasana style sunrise walks and more. On top of that there are beaches, nature walks and waterfalls to visit close by too 🌊

If that’s not enough you will also have access to a HEATED, private swimming pool 🏊‍♀️

This retreat is a true step away from modern living. A weekend to decompress, reconnect to the wild, soak up fresh ocean air and eat nourishing food.

Let’s talk about TIME ⏰

This month we are exploring the concept of integration. Following on from foundations last month, we’ll look now at how to integrate philosophies and teachings into our ‘off the mat’ practice (life), integrate realisations we have during our ‘on the mat’ practice (breaking beliefs) and integrate muscles to build strength and stability in our physical body.

A moment of realisation, however, doesn’t necessarily mean and immediate change (although it can!). Often, we need TIME
to allow experiences to embed and for our body to build strength and stability.

It took me 3-4 years to overcome anxiety, trying everything I could and never stopping looking. It has taken me 4-5 years to begin to heal my shoulder - a culmination of tens of physios, osteopaths and therapists + research, trial & error and absorbing information.

Next time you find yourself asking ‘why can’t I..’ then catch yourself.. have you allowed enough TIME to integrate what you’ve learned through practice, practice, practice?

Sad to say goodbye to my wonderful Thursday morning ladies this morning. It’s been such a pleasure hearing how much they hate but love my classes (this is good feedback in my opinion 😂), having 10 min catch up chats before we actually wiggle and watching them get so strong over the last year or two.

Change is weird and hard to accept. Any change in life is a chance to become aware of how it makes you feel, how you overcome the uncertainty and how you make choices.

This hit home. I had never considered that the feeling of deep numbness and disconnect I felt for so long could have been not no feelings, but all the feelings.

TEACHERS ARE CHAMPIONS 🏫

Yesterday I had the pleasure of teaching 4 hours of yoga to Year 10 students for The Priory School's Wellbeing Day. I often say ‘I don’t get why we’re not taught this stuff in school’ when chatting about breathwork and yoga and yesterday I got the opportunity to do just that!

I always respected teachers, but damn I have even more respect now 😂. Forward folds - no chance, down dog - outright refusal, loudest kids on the front row ✅, fits of giggles and messing about ✅, a few seeds of goodness planted in a few young minds 🤞.

Thanks to Carino Counselling for getting me involved and to all the staff at school for making sure we at least made it through the sessions!

Without a doubt, the hardest classes I’ve taught in a very long time 😂
