Just wanted to pop on and say I’m still around — still teaching, creating, and working away on commissions, just spending a bit more time offline and more time in the present.

I’ve been using an app called Opal that blocks certain apps on my phone, to help me cut down screen time and be more present. Honestly, it’s been amazing. I feel lighter, calmer, way more grounded and way less pulled to constantly check my phone.

That said, it also means I’m not on Instagram as much and haven’t been sharing as many updates here.

Always forgetting to post my artwork on my IG. I’ve been feeling so much more inspired recently and been working on some paintings between teaching which I’m going to start posting more of!

Jean Michel Basquiat art week project! This was so so much fun, visually analysing the artists work and creating a mixed media side table, through expression of one’s self. I love how can be such a powerful tool for mental health and wellbeing!!

Excited to introduce my new workshop - watercolour painting!

New date: 26th Feb 2025, 6pm

In this workshop, you will discover various watercolour painting techniques, along with the materials and tools used to master them.

After familiarising yourself with these methods, we will explore the work of artist Carolyn Jenny Gavin and create a flower painting inspired by her style, applying the techniques you’ve just learned.

Spray painting workshop! I’ve taught a few of these workshops for small groups and birthday and they are so much fun! We use a range of techniques such as collage, painting, stencilling and spray painting to create a small canvas work of art. A lot of fun and SO much room for CREATIVITY!

Excited to share my next Lino Printing Christmas workshop - 4th December, 6-8pm!

Design and create your own unique Christmas cards, gift tags and prints at this Lino Printing workshop. A perfect opportunity to be creative and unwind.

Lino-Printing is a method of relief printing that involves cutting a design into a sheet of Lino. The relief image is then inked and paper is placed against its surface. Applying pressure by hand or using a roller, the print is transferred onto the paper or card.

This workshop is suitable for all abilities, whether you are a beginner or someone reacquainting themselves with the art form. All materials and reference images will be supplied, but please feel free to bring your own ideas too!

Oil Painting for Beginners!

In this introduction to oil painting workshop, you will be shown the basics of oil paints. This includes experimental play to help you understand its qualities, application techniques, colour mixing and a variety of tools to help you start your oil painting journey. After a little time experimenting with application, you will paint from a reference photo focusing on light and shade, blending and texture.
