Having spent the past year dedicating my time to finishing my PhD and university teaching commitments, I am now back to offering virtual and in-person science tuition!

2 A Level Biology exams down, 1 to go!

Sadly I have my last lessons with my A Level students this week- but I am excited to see what they get up to next at university and in their studies, as they have worked so hard for it!📚

Now that the exam season is upon us and I will sadly say goodbye to my A Level Biology students, I will have availability to take on a small amount of new students for the next academic year for either KS3, GCSE Sciences or A level Biology, to start anytime between July and September.

Do you have children aged 11-14 (year 7-9)???

Later today, I will be posting details of an affordable, exciting opportunity for children wanting to explore science more over the summer break.

A series of weekly virtual sessions and a team mini research project to work towards in the final week- collaboration and group discussion/debate are some key skills we will be working on!🧑🏽‍🔬👩🏼‍🔬

My work as a tutor is to inspire the next generation of scientists, so by having this option, I hope to get more children involved in extra curricular science activities.

I am limiting the group size to 6 spaces, so if you have a junior scientist are home that would be interested- please watch out for my upcoming post or message me for more information 🔭🧬🦠

From seeing the clear benefits of virtual tuition since adapting to this during lockdown, I will be continuing to offer this to my students as distancing measures are relaxed.

Virtual sessions, via Zoom or Skype, offer:
•Greater flexibility for both student and myself;
•More interaction with high quality online resources;
•Developing necessary research skills during sessions for fact finding etc;
•Better use of session time.

I will still be offering face-to-face sessions for all of my local students; existing and new, but will be offering virtual sessions for all those who may benefit or need flexibility occasionally.

I currently have availability to take on new students over the summer and into the next academic year for virtual and face-to-face sessions.

I offer science (biology, chemistry and physics) tuition for KS2, KS3 and GCSE syllabuses and can adapt to the learning style of your child.

60 minute lessons as standard, but this can be extended and I have availability for multiple sessions per week if necessary.
