A busy morning in Aspen class searching for synonyms!
The Year 5 and 6 cricket event has been cancelled today, due to the rain. The children involved should come to school as normal.
A huge well done to Charlotte in Year 5, who has already raised over Β£100 for Juvenile Arthritis Research, with the total still rising.
As promised, Mr Brazier bravely faced the purple gunge today, much to the delight of the children. There was plenty of cheering, laughter and purple splatter.
There is still time to donate, and every contribution helps support vital research into juvenile arthritis.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Charlotte and this fantastic cause.

Gathering momentum with a 3rd league win in a row and a comprehensive team performance against a strong St Andrews side. With Will (Y6) hitting the ball over the school roof and Morgan knocking it out the grounds we're shifting up through the gears batting wise, while William (Y5) managed to take 4 wickets from his 8 balls to ramp the pressure up as we bowled. πππ

Our Year 4 children had a fantastic time out with Mrs East and Mrs Walker as they completed their pedestrian training today.

Pupils at Purwell School donβt just like cricket, they love it!
It is no wonder we are currently top of the schools' cricket league, with so many children, boys and girls, showing such enthusiasm, skill and team spirit.
And what a lovely view from the top of our hill too! π
Here is the final footage of our blue t**s taken just before leaving the nest.
It has been a real pleasure to watch them grow over time, and the children and staff have loved following their progress.
Letβs hope they are able to find food quickly, stay safe, and grow into healthy adult birds. A lovely little reminder of the wonder of nature, right on our doorstep.

Oak Class have been busy making packaging! Concentration and accuracy have been required.
Our Purwell blue t**s are getting ready for their next big adventure! π¦
Over the weekend, some of the fledglings spread their wings and left the nest. There are now two baby birds still tucked safely inside with their mum, getting a little more time before they take the leap.
Hopefully, the children will have the chance to see them practising, fluttering and finally flying off over the next few days. By the end of the week, we may well have an empty nest and a lovely reminder of the wonders of nature right here at school. πΏπ£

Yesterday, our brilliant Purwell Panthers!performed at the Walsworth Festival and did the school proud. The children showed real confidence, teamwork and energy as they opened the event with a fantastic routine.
A huge well done to Mrs Law and her Team, and thank you to the staff and families who supported the children on the day. It was lovely to see the Panthers representing our school in the local community with such enthusiasm.
Well done, Panthers! ππ
