A little about me:
I am a qualified Primary School teacher with experience in EYFS, KS1 and KS2. I hold a PGCE from UEA with Maths specialism and a degree in Child Development. I am teaching part-time as well as offering Tutoring. I have experience teaching main stream and support children with SEND as well.
I have 3 children aged 17, 11 and 3.
What I offer:
I prefer face to face tutoring as especially with Maths I use lots of concrete resources and games to aid learning.
I offer tutoring primarily children ages 5-11 years in Maths and English, including reading and phonics, writing, spelling, grammar and handwriting.
It is all about building confidence and taking small steps to make progress, fill gaps in understanding and then celebrate achievements.
Sessions are individually planned to cover what is needed and set at the pace needed by the child to ensure progress is being made. Assessment of a child's progress is made and recorded regularly and this will be shared regularly with parents.
I am happy to discuss more specific tutoring needs such as SATs prep or 11 plus entrance exam prep.
