𝒯𝒽ℯ 𝓌ℴ𝓇𝓁𝒹𝓈 𝑔𝓇ℯ𝒶𝓉ℯ𝓈𝓉 𝒸𝓁𝒶𝓈𝓈𝓇ℴℴ𝓂．．．𝒽𝒶𝓈 𝓃ℴ 𝓌𝒶𝓁𝓁𝓈．．．𝒩𝒜𝒯𝒰ℛℰ 🌳🍃🌎

This weeks Forest friends was rainy, exciting, very muddy… and a whole lot of FUN!!

We focused on the cycle of rain using the ‘Little Raindrop’ story. We read this while we were out and some of the children were able to recall the rain cycle. We also sang songs like ‘rain, rain, go away!’ and ‘it’s raining! it’s pouring!’

The children loved having fun in the rain and getting super muddy! We used the muddy path as a mud slide which the children loved! They took turns beautifully and were full of giggles 🥰

Nothing makes us happier than the children enjoying learning especially first hand experiences! What better way to learn about the rain than actually be out in it! No flash cards from us, this way they can feel, see and smell expanding on their knowledge!

ℳℴ𝓉𝒽ℯ𝓇𝓈 𝒟𝒶𝓎 𝓈𝓉𝒶𝓎 ＆ 𝓅𝓁𝒶𝓎 💐

Friday 13th March, we welcomed all our mums, aunties, grandmas and all the special women in our lives to join us at nursery!

We enjoyed exploring the room, showing off all the activities and toys we enjoy. The grown ups were offered drinks, cakes and biscuits!

Thank you to everyone who came, we had a fantastic day and we hope you all enjoyed Mother’s Day on Sunday!

Thank you to all staff who attended our in house paediatric first aid today!

Did you know 100% of our staff are paediatric first aid trained! This ensures there is always a first aider working alongside the children in case of any accident and emergency.

We are consistently training and updating policies and procedures to provide the best possible care for our children!

🌼 𝒜𝒻𝒻𝒾𝓇𝓂𝒶𝓉𝒾ℴ𝓃 𝓈𝓉𝒶𝓉𝒾ℴ𝓃 🌼

Today we have added our 'affirmation station' outside.

As February is the month of love what better way to celebrate than to love ourselves and teach our children to love themselves!

Our curriculum focuses on creating kind, independent, courageous and confident children, to do this the children have to be able to notice their strengths! They have so many unique and beautiful things about them they should be so proud to celebrate these!

Please feel free to take one of our affirmations home for your child to learn and repeat, give it to a relative or friend and remind them how valued they are, or for yourself to give yourself the boost you need to face the day!

We also have some worksheets outside 'rays of affirmations' if you'd like to take one home to complete please feel free to and we can display them in nursery.

We are excited to share that we have now received our gold badge for the Green Tree Schools Award 🏅

Our dragonflies have been very busy earning these points during ‘forest friends’, I have attached some pictures so you can see what they have been up to recently. We have been using the hapazome technique to print some fern leaves, exploring nature from different perspectives using a digital camera, learning about Winter, litter picking, and more! 🍃

A huge thank you to our forest friend leader Lucy, for planning such interesting and exciting activities!
