Does your child seem bright and capable, but still struggles with revision, exams, reading, writing or spelling? 📚

Sometimes children work incredibly hard but still find school more difficult than it should be — and it’s not always obvious why. ❓

A diagnostic dyslexia assessment can help identify the underlying causes of those challenges, highlight your child’s strengths, and provide practical recommendations for support at school and home. Most importantly, it can help children better understand themselves and rebuild confidence. ☺️

If you’ve been wondering whether an assessment could help your child, I offer a free initial consultation to talk things through. 📞

It is still often thought that dyslexia causes a person to see words moving on a page. In fact, this is a symptom of a different condition known as visual stress, whereas dyslexia is to do with the auditory processing of language. Don’t think that if someone doesn’t see the words moving on the page, they can’t have dyslexia…

Many people think dyslexia is a vision issue, but it’s really about how the brain processes language. Understanding this can change the way we support learners and colleagues with dyslexia.
