GCSE RESULTS DAY TOMORROW

In England, GCSEs are now graded using a numerical system from 9 to 1, rather than from A to E, as was previously the case. The highest grade is now 9, while 1 is the lowest. The U grade, meaning "ungraded", remains the same.

Here's what the numbers mean...

We’ll share stories from our students tomorrow and look forward to catching up with our students in the morning at school.

Yesterday, our pupils from Forms 3 to 8 showcased their remarkable skills at the highly anticipated St. Edmund's 'Declamation Competition'!

A highly anticipated event that promotes the art of reading aloud and fosters a deep love for literature among our talented participants.

The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as our students took to the stage, their voices resonating with passion and much enthusiasm! Each participant brought their unique flair and personal touch to the readings, captivating the audience.

Well done to all those who took part, especially the runners-up and two overall winners, who will have their names engraved on the Declamation Shield.

Amazing day at Butser Ancient Farm with our Form 3 pupils yesterday, to reinforce their current history topic ‘The Iron Age Celts.’ Our pupils enjoyed exploring the past and immersing themselves in the history of our ancestors. The highlight of the trip was definitely visiting the mesmerising round houses and stepping into the shoes of ancient Britons, our pupils experienced the unique atmosphere of these incredible dwellings. From the thatched roofs to the cosy interiors, it was a fascinating glimpse into how people lived centuries ago.

Our young historians were brimming with excitement as they learned about the tools, techniques, and daily routines of our ancient ancestors. The Butser Ancient Farm staff did an outstanding job of bringing history to life, engaging our pupils with their expert knowledge and interactive demonstrations.

This visit not only deepened our students' understanding of history but also ignited their curiosity for ancient civilisations.

📸 Swipe through these snapshots to catch a glimpse of our adventurous day.

Before half-term, our talented Form 3 and 4 pupils transported us to a magical world, as they brought the enchanting tale of Aladdin to life.

The energy on stage was infectious and attention to detail in their costumes and set design was remarkable.
Well done to all the cast members.
