We’ve won and saved our nurseries!! Well done everyone who spoke out! 🥳 When we stand together, our voices mean something. So pleased we’ve saved such vital provisions for our most vulnerable children!

Urgent! ‼️

Cllr. Deborah Taylor is arranging a protest outside County Hall, Leicester Road, Glenfield, LE3 8RA next Tuesday 3rd March at 1.30pm ahead of the Children and Families Overview and Scrutiny Committee meeting that starts at 2pm. She is getting some boards made up and contacting the local media for publicity. Anyone who can go down and support we would all be incredibly grateful. We need to make an impact before the councillors place their votes.

Also we are looking for families directly impacted by the possibility of the closures or parents who have accessed one of these provisions in the past to share their views and story. If you’d be up for this please let me know and I’ll send her email across for you to get in contact. Thankyou for standing up for all the vulnerable children across Leicestershire! ❤️‍🩹

The motion today to stop the closure of 4 SEN nurseries has been a success, this means it will now go to cabinet and it’s highly likely that it will be dropped! A massive win for us all today, Thankyou to Cllr Ann Pendlebury for being our voice. I don’t just fight for my children, but for all children future and present. This is something I simply could not just ignore, we all know how vital these settings are for the most vulnerable children and families. Seeing so many today speaking about how incredible these nurseries are was highly reassuring that we’re helping save their future! 🤞👏🥳

If anyone wants to come along to County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester, LE3 8RA at 2pm on Wednesday 18th February to show support for item 10 linked below, to stop them closing our 4 specialist nurseries, please do! The motion is to try and prevent this but any support will only strengthen that what we as parents, professionals and everyone who knows how vital these settings are, closing them would be a terrible disservice to all children. Let’s save our specialist settings! 💪
