On Friday 5th May to help kick start a weekend of celebrations across the nation for our Kings Coronation Westfield have planned a day of fun activities including a special Coronation Picnic Lunch. Don't forget to come to school dressed in red, white and blue. We are looking forward to seeing how creative you have been decorating your crown. Please remember to bring your crown back to school by Wednesday 3rd May. There will be a small prize awarded in each class for the best crown.

You will be helping Civilian relief for the suffering in Ukraine, all proceeds go directly to the Disasters Emergency Committee.

Sit and enjoy a cuppa and a cake, or buy cakes and biscuits to take home for the weekend.

Boxed cakes available to freeze, ready for your Coronation Celebrations the following weekend.

Please come and support us and enjoy your cakes, knowing you are helping families in Ukraine.

Your donations are a lifeline for millions of people affected by the conflict in Ukraine, and refugees in neighbouring countries. DEC charities are supporting the local aid effort to provide cash assistance, food, healthcare, clean water, shelter, protection, and so much more.

Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising on Red Nose Day recently. We raised £260 for Comic Relief.

Friday 17th March is Comic Relief Day. Pupils are invited to come to school wearing something red. If you would like to send your child in with a small donation we will be having buckets in every classroom for your child to put their money into. All money donated will be going to Comic Relief.

Westfield Easter Bingo on Thursday 23rd March from 6.00 p.m. - 7.30 pm is now full. Thank you to all the families who have brought tickets for this event. This is going to be a fun night and we are looking forward to seeing you.

This week we are celebrating World Book Week, and the love of reading, and we have lots of exciting activities planned. Every afternoon the pupils will be moving around to different classes to share stories, and take part in various activities, so don't forget to ask your child what they have been doing.

Thursday 2nd March is World Book Day so don't forget to come dressed as your favourite book character or come in non uniform. (After all there are plenty of characters from stories that don't dress up).

Safer Internet day is a global day of action to build a safer digital world for children and young people. The theme this year is 'Want to talk about it? Making space for conversations about life on line'.

The aim of the day is to raise awareness of emerging online issues and current concerns,promoting conversations about how we can use the internet safely and respectfully.

It's a day to encourage parents, carers, teachers, government, policymakers, and the wider online safety industry to take time to listen to children and young people and make positive change together not just for one day, but all year round.

We hoped you enjoyed your cakes as much as Brenda and Brumas Bear! If you didn't manage to get to our cake sale yesterday or if you would like to purchase some more cakes we will be selling our remaining boxes this afternoon in the school Reception priced at only £3 for a box of 4 cakes. What a bargain!!!!!

AT LAST!!!!! the day of our cake sale is finally here. Brumas and Brenda Bear were so excited they couldn't wait until this afternoon. They have already been and brought some delicious cakes to have with their cup of tea later.
Don't forget to come early and buy your cakes before they all sell out!

REMINDER!
Cake sale THURSDAY 26th January 2:45pm from the school hall! All cakes are 80p each or 4 for £3! ALL PROCEEDS will be going towards our lovely school!

Also,
Recycled uniform will be available for a small donation!
We have a lot of 'lost property' - if your child has 'misplaced an item in school - hats/ gloves etc.. this will be out for you to look through!
