Our amazing site team have been working incredibly hard over the holiday to prepare the school for students returning! Highlights include the new 3g pitch nearing completion, a brand new toilet block in Turing, new drinking taps outside the Lancaster suite, and we have invested in another minibus to support extra curricular opportunities!

We hope that all of our families have had a fantastic summer!

We are looking forward to welcoming students back to school this week on Thursday 3rd September. Students in Y7 and Y12 should arrive on site before 8.35am.

All other year groups should arrive between 11.00 and 11.20am at the latest, before the end of breaktime, ready to join their form groups for a ‘first day’ tutor time during period 3. Timetabled lessons will take place periods 4 and 5.

Huge congratulations to all of our Y11 students receiving their GCSE results this morning! We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them. We look forward to welcoming many students back to our Sixth Form in September, and wish everyone off to college or beginning apprenticeships every success. We look forward to hearing of your future achievements!

A Level Results Day 2026
Today, we celebrate the achievements of our Year 13 students and all they have accomplished during their time with us.
We are incredibly proud of their hard work, resilience and determination. Among the many success stories are Will Baker, who will be reading Physics with Theoretical Physics at the University of Manchester; Ava Odell, who is heading to the University of Sheffield to study Law; and Harry Long, who will be studying Journalism at the University of Leeds.
These students represent just some of the fantastic achievements across the year group. Whether progressing to university, apprenticeships or employment, we wish every student the very best for the future.
We cannot wait to hear about their onward journeys and future successes.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026. We are all incredibly proud of you.

For any students considering joining uniformed cadets, this could be a great opportunity to find out more about the great work of the county emergency services.

We are counting down until our next Community Open Day on Sunday 16 August at Wicksteed Park!

Come along and meet your local emergency service personnel as they demonstrate what they do on a daily basis to keep the community safe. Climb onboard our Joint Command Unit, get an up close look at the police operational kit, and see some of our police dogs in action - with a chance to meet PD Coco and PD Bonnie!
