This year has been a complete joy!

I’ve been so incredibly lucky to cross paths with some of the most amazing humans, both young and old! 🌟🫶
To the parents of my students: thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏💖
Thank you for committing your time to support your child’s lessons, for waiting patiently each week, and for placing your trust in my teaching abilities. ⏳🎶

But most of all, thank you for giving me the absolute privilege of inspiring and encouraging your little ones every single week. It is a joy I never take for granted! ✨

I still feel that buzz, even after all these years of teaching! Receiving new enquiries for lessons, whether it's for a child or an adult, beginner or advanced player - I'm hooked instantly and ready to help you. I'm very lucky that teaching music and meeting so many great pupils along the way has always been a huge source of pleasure to me - it simply doesn't feel like 'work'!

It's almost the end of the academic year, but plenty of people are looking ahead to September and booking in now to get the lesson slot they want. Do get in touch with me if you've been thinking about starting music lessons but not felt you could take the next step -I'm ready to help you!

Lessons can be relaxed and informal, just playing music for fun or structured to work towards grade exams - whatever you need - and if you want to chat through availability, prices, or where to buy your first instrument then just drop me a line - I'll be only too happy to assist.

One of the best parts of my job is meeting new people from all walks of life...and after 35 years of teaching, I've met a lot! And it's thanks to music that I get the opportunity to experience the enrichment that these adults and young people bring to my lessons.
Some adults meet me and just want to start a new hobby, others want to fulfil a long-held passion to play an instrument, another will want to play music to connect with their cultural heritage or maybe, defy the odds, and get back into playing after a long break. No matter what the reason, I love stepping in, supporting their individual goals and watching their confidence grow.
Music brings a calmness and happiness to our soul. We can lose ourselves in the moment, and be present, focused and relaxed.🎶

Cookham Music Festival showcased some amazing musicians yesterday. It was lovely to see the confidence in their performances too. The jazz sextet from Chiltern Music Academy Big Band are always a favourite for me...but I could be a little biased there!

I was delighted to visit Dawkes Music and try out some of their new professional flutes. It's great to have such a lovely shop in the locality now stocking these top of the range flutes.
If you're looking to upgrade or simply want to see/hear what a difference they feel like to play, you can easily book an appointment and try them.
My personal favourite was the Sankyo with its stunning sound quality across the range and a beautiful mechanism - playing the highest register was a dream!
