🎉 A Warm Welcome to Our Year 7 Families! 🎉

It was wonderful to welcome our Year 7 students and their families for our Year 7 Welcome Mass and Meet the Tutor Evening.

The evening was a lovely opportunity to come together as a school community, celebrate the start of an exciting new chapter and give parents and carers the chance to meet their child’s tutor.

We hope our Year 7s are settling in brilliantly, building new friendships and already beginning to feel at home at St Michael’s. 💙

🏆 WORLD CUP CHAMPION! 🏆

We are delighted to share some fantastic news from Daley Cross, our guest speaker at the St Michael’s Sports and Creative Arts Awards Evening.

Daley told our students that he was heading off with the England Transplant Football Team with one goal in mind - to win the Transplant Football World Cup… and he’s done exactly that! 🏆⚽🏴

A huge congratulations to Daley and the entire England team on this incredible achievement. It was a privilege to have Daley speak to our students and share his inspiring story, and we are so pleased to be able to celebrate this success with him.

💪 Year 7 Tug of War! 💪

A brilliant afternoon of teamwork, energy and plenty of healthy competition as our Year 7 students took part in a Tug of War challenge! 🙌🏽

It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, supporting their teams and showing great determination. What a brilliant atmosphere in the Sports Hall! 💙👏🏽

Our Year 4 children enjoyed a special RE retreat focused on the beautiful theme of friendship today.

They created a friendship web, passing a ball of string from one friend to another while holding onto their own piece and sharing something that makes that person a special friend.

This created a wonderful visual reminder that friendship connects us all and that every person has an important part to play in our community.

The children also reflected on the qualities of a good friend and thought about Jesus as a friend. As part of their reflection, they wrote a personal letter to Jesus, sharing why they see Him as their friend and what His friendship means to them.

It was a lovely opportunity for our Year 4 children to pause, reflect and celebrate the gift of friendship, while deepening their understanding of our faith and the example Jesus gives us.

Welcome Back!

We hope you all had an amazing summer, filled with lots of fun, laughter and special memories with friends and family.

It has been wonderful to welcome everyone back! We’ve already been greeted by so many excited, happy faces, and it’s fantastic to see the learning, exploring and fun already happening in our classrooms — and it’s only Day 2!

We’re so excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to see all the wonderful things our children will learn, achieve and experience together.

We couldn't let the school year end without sharing this fantastic Accelerated Reader achievement with you.

It's wonderful to see that reading is such an important part of life at St Michael's Primary, with a genuine passion and love of books being nurtured and passed on to our pupils every day.

This is especially meaningful as 2026 is the National Year of Reading, making this achievement an even greater celebration of the reading culture we are so proud to foster within our school community.

As we reach the end of another wonderful school year, we would also like to take this opportunity to wish you all a fantastic summer. We hope you enjoy making special memories and spending quality time with your family and friends.

We would like to thank our families for their continued support, encouragement, and engagement throughout the year. Your partnership plays such an important role in our school community, and we truly appreciate it.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September, refreshed and ready for another exciting year of learning together.

From laughter and smiles to tears, hugs, and handshakes...

Our Year 6 Leavers' Assembly was an unforgettable celebration filled with pride, memories, and emotion. We laughed, we reflected, and yes, there were plenty of tears as we said goodbye to an incredible group of children.

We are so proud of everything they have achieved and can't wait to see all they accomplish in the future. Wishing each and every one of our Year 6 pupils the very best as they begin their next adventure.

Our End of Year Assembly would not be complete without celebrating some of the achievements of our wonderful primary children. We were delighted to present three Mission Awards, recognising resilience, determination, and achievement throughout the year. We also celebrated our fantastic Chess Team, whose dedication and outstanding performances have made us incredibly proud. Congratulations to all of our award winners!

What an action-packed day of teamwork, laughter and unforgettable memories at our We're a Knock Out! Whole School Celebration Day!

Our pupils (and staff!) took part in exciting challenges, friendly competitions, problem-solving activities and leadership tasks designed to:
🤝 Strengthen relationships
💬 Improve communication
⭐ Build confidence and teamwork
🎯 Create a supportive, energetic school community

From bouncing, balancing and battling it out to cheering each other on, it was a day full of smiles, determination and plenty of fun!

Our playground was buzzing with excitement as the ice cream van paid us a special visit today! There were huge smiles all around as our children and staff enjoyed a well-earned ice cream treat in the sunshine. Moments like these make wonderful memories and bring our community together.
A big thank you to the ice cream van for making everyone's day that little bit sweeter!
