What a wonderful first week back at Chiltern Music Academy! 🎶

It was so lovely to see everyone back after the summer, both our returning students and the huge number of new families who joined us this week. A very warm welcome to all of you!

From our youngest musicians to our older students, it’s been fantastic to have the CMA rooms filled with music again.

Let the music begin! 🎵

And if you haven’t joined us yet, it’s not too late. Our musical community is open to young musicians aged 3–18, and we welcome all experience levels, from those picking up an instrument for the very first time to highly experienced young musicians.

Whether you’re looking for a first step into music, a chance to play with others, or somewhere to continue developing your skills, there’s a place for you at CMA.

We had SUCH a lovely time with the pre-schoolers at Odds Farm today. We saw 40 little ones over two classes and they thoroughly enjoyed Tessa’s story-telling through music and loved playing the claves!
At CMA our classes are for children from 4-18;from beginners to advanced musicians and everything in between!

Looking forward to starting the term with a CMA visit to Odds Farm Park this morning!

🎶 Come and try an instrument for FREE!

Our Find Your Forte Instrument Trial is taking place on Saturday 5 September, giving children the chance to try out some of the instruments they could learn through the programme🎻🎺

If you're not sure which instrument you'd like to play, this is a chance to have a go at several different options and see which one you enjoy most. There’s no need to decide beforehand!

We currently have spaces available for cello, double bass, clarinet, flute, oboe, bassoon, French horn and brass⭐️

The trial is completely free of charge, and if you decide to continue with Find Your Forte, instrument hire is included in the £110-per-term membership, alongside your group instrumental lessons💙

We’ve missed this. 🎶
Looking back through the past year, we’ve got a lot to look forward to when the new term begins: rehearsals, performances, ensembles, lessons, and most importantly, making music together.
We’re getting everything ready for another year at Chiltern Music Academy, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back.

Looking for musical activities over the summer holidays? 🎶

Our CMA alumni Lily Starkey and Izzy Cave are running a music summer camp and we're so proud to share it!

Music Summer Camp 📍 Forty Green Community Hall 📅 27th–31st July 🕤 9:30am–3pm (early drop off from 9am, £5 per day) 👧 Ages 5-11

What's included: 🥁 Daily instrument sessions — boomwhackers, djembe drums, ukuleles and more 🎤 Singing every day 🎨 Arts and crafts with a musical twist 🎉 Special performance on the last day for parents

Children who already play an instrument can perform a solo piece, with dedicated 1-1 sessions with a music leader throughout the week to help them prepare.

Costs: £43 per day / £205 for the full 5 days 10% sibling discount

Starting out on a new instrument is such an exciting time for a child, but to parents it can feel uncertain and costly. Find Your Forte takes the risk out of the process, providing FREE group instrumental lessons for up to a year with FREE instrument hire to keep the costs right down.

Optional support classes like music theory, recorders and choirs are included in the membership too 💙

Classes take place at Wycombe High School on Saturday mornings in term time.
