📚 This morning we welcomed the author Steve Cole to Godstowe for an inspiring talk on his latest book, The Wild Ones. Steve brilliantly brought the book to life and even played the guitar and sang a song he composed. Prep pupils, in years 3 to 8, enjoyed meeting Steve after his talk to receive a signed copy of his book.

During the summer holidays, a current Year 5 pupil represented Godstowe at the Australian Interschools National Championships. We’re delighted to announce that whilst representing the school, she came third in the Alpine Skiing event, securing a bronze medal. 🥉

In addition to the National Championships, she also competed in several ski and snowboard competitions in both individual and team events, coming away with an additional gold medal, four silver medals and two bronze medals. 🥇🥈🥈🥈🥈🥉🥉

A throwback to sunnier times last Tuesday. ☀️☀️☀️

During INSET last week, our Godstowe staff headed to the water to spend an afternoon on the Thames. They were able to enjoy some time together on the river before we welcomed back the rest of the Godstowe community later that week for the start of the new academic year.

When girls reach Year 8 at Godstowe, they take on more meaningful positions of responsibility and leadership, acting as role models and mentors to our younger pupils. The roles taken help to build their confidence, maturity and character ahead of starting their chosen senior schools in Year 9.
