Yesterdays emergency work

On a previous post you may have seen us carrying out work on a failed limb in Romiley on a large Beech tree

Yesterday after sorting permission from the council as this tree has a TPO on it and getting traffic management sorted to allow us to carry out the work safely we had to remove the rest of the limb as it wasn’t safe over the road and footpath

The rest of the tree has now had an application put in to the council to allow us to reduce back some of the other limbs to help balance the tree to help prevent any others failing

Thank you to Higher Myers for moving some work about to be able to help complete this job at short notice

First job go and remove two trees that had failed over a public footpath for EEagley Plastics Ltdin Chinley. They had been notified of the fallen trees by the council and phones right away to deal with it quickly and safely with it being over the food path

Then had an Ash tree with Ash die back for New Mills Football club in New Mills. They had been notified as well by the council of the tree next to the main road that needs coming down due to the decay with it being so close the the road

From this week we had an emergency call out in Romiley from one of our customers

Quite a large beach bow had failed and was like partly over the footpath the road and access to a farmers field

We managed to get over the same day the customer phoned us and cleared it from the road footpath and entrance to farmers field then the following day came back to remove the larger timber with our loader keeping the area clear and safe

We will be back to do some work to the remainder of the tree to keep it balanced and safe after losing such a large limb once the council have been as this is in a conservation area

Saturday crew

Working at Swizzles Matlow today

Taking down this Ash tree that has had some failing limbs and signs of ash die back

This tree was over the loading bay for the factory as well as a public footpath

This tree had to be taken down for safety reasons

Great team work as always from Tom and Freddie and some extra help today from Ryan and Josh, helping with making sure the footpath was closed and no one came through to allow us to carry out this work safely and effectively

Apologies for any inconvenience while the footpath was closed but needed to be done

Thanks to DamO for the bacon butties 😉

One from this week

This Willow wasn’t very well after a number of small limbs had failed then a larger limb failed just missing the shed below

The decision was made to take the tree down for safety reasons

As you can see from the last photo the main stem wasn’t very health at all

Two Ash trees at Combs Infant School to be made safe due to Ash Die back.

With them close to the school and over the field we reduced them down to stems to make them safe

Thank you to the land owner for allowing us to access from their field to keep the cost down

We waited for the farmer to get their grass cut and baled then we could access the field to carry out the work

Working for a new customer today Square Bricks over in Warrington

We got asked to reduce and reshape this Lime tree in their car park to open up the space while keeping the tree and making sure it was safe

Looking forward to working with them again on future projects

Today was a real scorcher, but we still made good progress.

The heat slowed us down a bit, so we’ll return tomorrow afternoon to finish up.

This was a sycamore that fell, crashing through the customer’s wall and into the farmer’s field behind.

Thankfully, the farmer kindly let us access through his land, which is helping keep costs down for the customer
