Every path has moments when we need to pause and look far enough ahead to see where its taking us. 🌿

My latest article for The Life Coach Directory, “Is your work still working for you?”, explores what happens when we pause to ask whether the direction we're heading still aligns with where we want to go. Not because we've taken the wrong route — but because life changes, we change, and sometimes the path that once felt right may no longer feel that way. 🧭.

This question sits at the heart of my latest article, “Is your work still working for you?”, which has just been published today by The Life Coach Directory. ✨

It’s not always about finding a completely new career. Sometimes it’s about reconnecting with what matters, using our strengths differently, creating healthier boundaries, or finding more meaning in the work we already do. 💫

A few questions worth reflecting on:

✨ When do you feel most energised in your working week?
✨ What gives you a sense of purpose or satisfaction?
✨ What matters to you now that perhaps didn’t when you started?
✨ Has your work changed — or have you?

Sometimes clarity comes from creating the space to pause, reflect and notice what’s already there. 🌱

What a wonderful afternoon was had by all at Gallery, Pavilion Gardens, Buxton yesterday, celebrating the launch of my brilliant friend's new book, Good Girl: Rerouted. Rewritten. A Guide to Challenge, Choice and Change by Kerry Fox. 🎉📚

Part memoir, part coaching psychology, part journal, and an empowering call to action, this book speaks directly to women who have done everything "right" and yet find themselves wondering whether the life they've built still works.

"You worked hard. You said yes. You were reliable, capable and impressive.
On paper, it's perfect, and yet something feels off."

If that resonates, this book will help you:

• Identify what has been driving your decisions.
• Examine the weight you are carrying.
• Reassess what you've been tolerating.
• Make deliberate choices about what stays and what changes.

I genuinely believe this book could be a huge game-changer. 💡

Thoughtful, honest, and empowering, every woman will find a part of herself reflected within these pages. ❤️

Massive congratulations, Kerry Fox! 🥂

Wishing you every success with your new book Kerry, Good Girl Rerouted. Rewritten, which is available now at Waterstones and on Amazon. 🚀📚

With you for your wellbeing and success,

Sandie 💫

My fourth WOHASU ® The World Happiness Summit —celebrating its 10th year, hosted this year at the amazing Nova School of Business and Economics in the picturesque seaside town of Cascais, Portugal. 🇵🇹

This year’s theme: Kindness for a Happier Life. 🙌 🙏

Assumed often as just a ‘nicety’—or soft and sentimental—it’s SO much more! That’s the part we underestimate.

Kindness isn’t just an individual act. It sets a tone. It builds safety, trust, and appreciation. It changes the ‘status quo’ into something meaningful, special, and impactful.

I saw it play out in real time yesterday, at Lisbon airport on my way home.

I was standing in a long, slow-moving queue for coffee and lunch. The kind of queue where everyone is a little resigned—eyes glazed, energy low. A family of four joined at the back—baby on dads chest, toddler fidgety swinging off mums bag-laden arm, parents visibly weary. 😵‍💫

Then suddenly, a young girl’s voice cut through the air from behind the counter. Loud and clear: “YOU AT THE BACK—YES, YOU—come forward.”

The whole room turned to watch. This observant staff member had seen them—15 or so heads back.

People sprang into action. Chairs were pulled in. Bags lifted out of the way for the family and their push-chair and trolley.

I felt a pang in my chest. A memory of how tough airports queues can be from when my own kids were younger. ❣️

This simple act of kindness really touched me. Not just me. Weary faces softened and brightened. People smiled at each other and commented on how nice that was to see.❤️

An unspoken, collective agreement: this is what we do here—we help.

Kindness is contagious.

And today—nothing special but it still felt meaningful. I let someone with a small basket of shopping cut in front of my loaded trolley. He appreciated it. And 'I' felt good. We both felt a little lifted. The cashier, too.

Kindness has a ripple effect. And goodness knows, we need them.

And at work? Powerful too.

“Kindness isn't soft. It's a superpower for leadership, connection, innovation, and human flourishing” — WOHASU
The evidence is strong. The benefits:

✅ Reduces stress and risk of burnout
✅Better teamwork and performance
✅Stronger social connection
✅Reduced loneliness
✅Overall, boosting wellbeing—for the recipient, the giver, and for those around them.

Kindness is contagious, it’s far-reaching, it's impactful, it’s good for us and it's good for business.

This has been my first post summit reflection…

With you for your wellbeing and success,

Sandie

📣👀 Calling fellow coaches who love getting out into nature… 🍃🥾

If you know me, you’ll know there’s nothing I enjoy more than bringing like-spirited people together to walk, talk, and enjoy being with nature. 💚

So, I’ve been quietly planning a walking and coaching retreat for coaches, right on the edge of the Peak District National Park— a place I’m fortunate to call home. 🙏

💭 ✨ Imagine: great conversations with fellow coaches, proper thinking space, group coaching, and time to reflect on the human you are, the business you run —and the legacy of the work you do.

All whilst enjoying beautiful landscapes — open nature trails, rolling hillsides, and quiet woodland paths… with comfortable accommodation to welcome you back. Everything taken care of. 🌳🤩

I’m sure you’ll agree, sometimes, that’s exactly what’s needed. 🙌

If that sounds like your kind of reTreat, drop me a message and I’ll keep you in the loop. 💞

With you for your wellbeing and success,

Sandie 💫

IE University — Centre for Health & Wellbeing, Madrid. 🇪🇸 Sunshine.☀️ A room full of purpose driven people from all corners, asking thoughtful and incisive questions about the future of life and work and what it means to live with greater purpose and meaning.🌟

The World Meaning & Purpose Summit 2026 was unforgettable. 🌈✨

Stepping outside that space…
A lot of what we see in the news and around us feels utterly senseless, and disconnected. Devoid of care or meaningfulness.

Which raises the question:

Has there ever been a more important time to be intentional about what’s meaningful and purposeful—and to the legacy we’re leaving?

Not only with the legacy we leave behind us when we die. But daily. In each conversation. Every action.

What are we role modelling? What are we normalising?

How are we experinced, as a parent, as a partner, as a friend, as a boss, as a colleague, as a fellow human, together at the same time for the tiniest slip of time, on this shared planet? ❤️🌎

Plus!! Living with meaning and purpose is good for our physical health and wellbeing. 🙌

🔬 Research shared by Michael F. Steger shows:

➡️ Having purpose is linked to a longer life
➡️ Lower cognitive decline
➡️ Lower likelihood of experiencing anxiety and depression
➡️ Better stress regulation
➡️ Deeper connection with others

Whats not to love?! ❤️

What do people ‘love’ about you? What are people experiencing when they experience you? How do you make people feel? What would people say about you and the values you live by? What will ‘your’ legacy be?

We spend 30% of our lives at work. Work CAN be a great place to express some of held values. (The modern workplace can also be a place starved of meaning, for some at least.)

Your choice of careers is important. And for many, how we end up contributing in meaningful ways through our work can be a deliberate result of our values + planning and choice.

If a reflective and generative career coaching conversation would be helpful to you right now, why not drop me a line?!

With you for your wellbeing and success,

Sandie 💫
