We have been having the best time in the build up to Christmas. The children have shared some very special moments together. We have seen lots of singing, dancing, crafting, party days, Christmas dinner day and we even had a visit from Santa himself! The staff work extra hard at this time of year to ensure the children have a magical time and love getting into the festive spirit too! Wishing all of our Cheeky Monkey families and friends a very πŸŽ„πŸŽ…Merry Christmas.

We are having a few issues with our phoneline at present and calls are struggling to get through. Please bear with us. Alternatively you can make contact via email [email protected] or for our current families via tapestry. Apologies for any inconvenience caused! We are still able to make external calls.

Today we were lucky enough to have a visit from the local fire service. The children had an amazing time meeting the lovely team, exploring the fire engine and even had a turn on the water hose. The fire fighters spoke to the children about fire safety and focused their attention to upcoming bonfire night and keeping safe. Thank you so much Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service for sparing time to visit us and for sharing such valuable advice in a way young children could relate to. The children loved it and enjoyed every minute of the experience. The sirens were much appreciated on your exit back to the station πŸ₯°πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’πŸš’

Another lovely trip to Welby Croft for our Cheeky Monkey Children and staff. It is so lovely how the children and residents communicate with each other. Lots of happy smiles all round. Thank you to the lovely staff and residents for welcoming us every visit. πŸ₯°

Yesterday, our industry recognised Nursery Practitioner Day. I just wanted to pop by with an appreciation post. Over the years, the profession has seen so many challenges and changes. There have been times as a sector when we have been overlooked by the government, during the pandemic, being hugely underfunded, moving goal posts of expectation, and even juggling the qualification requirements. Its been so sad to see that so many amazing practitioners have left the sector and settings have closed their doors for the last time after many years in operation.
I am very proud of all of our strong, amazing staff at Cheeky Monkeys for their input, commitment, dedication, and love they provide for our amazing children every day. Being an Early years Educator is a vital role and starts children on their journey in life.
Staff are all human, have individual personalities, and have personal challenges in their own lives, yet every day, yet they still prioritise their valuable role as practitioners.
My son was lucky enough to attend Cheeky Monkeys until he started school, and he still loves and talks about you all. The sound of fun, laughter, and learning that takes place within the nursery is always a joy. I would also like to thank all of our families who choose Cheeky Monkeys for their children, as without their support, there would be no us. Your kind comments and feedback are always appreciated. The relationships we build are vital to support the children we all care for.
Thank you so much to everyone. You are very much appreciated.
Kindest Regards

Its the start the new term and we happily welcome back our term time only children. It has been a busy few weeks for us and also sad as we had to say goodbye to our school leavers. We were overwhelmed by the kind words, and treats from our lovely families. We wish them the very best of luck as they begin their next adventure. I am sure you will love school and we are so proud of each and every one of our children.
We have lots of fun and educational activities coming up in nursery this term at no additional cost to parents/carers.
Our preschool children will be having weekly Spanish lessons (how exciting to learn a new language and extend their learning)
We will also see the return of Footie Tots following the summer break. Children will develop their physical skills, engage in team work, follow instructions, and have fun with an array of activities (its always exciting to see who will be awarded the weekly Footie Tots Trophy for effort?) The babies will continue with Bloom Baby classes where they can access lots of new learning opportunities and enjoy music and singing as a group. (they love love love the sessions!). We will also be taking a group of children to visit the lovely residents of Welby croft every week. This will bring joy to the residents and allow the children to meet new members of the community. We have done similar in the past (pre Covid) and it was a huge success.
The sun is shining, and the positivity is flowing. Happy new term everyone! β˜€οΈπŸ‘πŸ₯°

This week we have completed two consecutive trips to Peak Wildlife Park with our 4 year old children starting mainstream school in September. The children and staff had a fabulous time meeting all of the lovely animals and exploring the park. We also took with us a picnic lunch and shared lots of fun and laughter along the way. It was lovely to make lasting memories and as a final treat for children who are due to start full time education. We will be continuing this tradition each year for our school leavers. We will miss our graduates so very much and wish them well in their next chapter. We love our Cheeky Monkeys Family πŸ₯°

The wonderful staff and children have been very busy over the last couple of weeks getting Carnival ready. The theme this year is celebrations which ties in nicely with our 20th Year anniversary celebration!! Everyone has loved putting their creativity to good use and have even supported J T Howe Funeral Directors in Chapel en Le Frith by providing the art work for their window decoration. We are all so proud πŸ₯° We hope you all have a fab carnival day and that we are blessed with beautiful weather for the occasion. πŸ₯³

WOW we have had a busy few weeks here at Cheeky Monkeys. We successfully celebrated our 20 year anniversary with a huge party at Whaley Bridge Bowling club. We had music, bouncy castle, buffet food for adults and children, face painting and other lovely treats too 🀩πŸ₯³πŸ•ΊπŸ’ƒπŸŽˆeveryone had the best time!
We have lots of other exciting things going on in nursery too such as footie tots for our 2 - 5 year olds and baby bloom for our babies (interactive and fun music classes). In September the pre school children will also be taking part in fun, interactive Spanish lessons!
Alongside all of these wonderful activities we will also continue providing a full, balanced and educational Early years Curriculum of activities led by our team of experienced and dedicated staff. The sun is shining, the children are happy and the Cheeky Monkeys family are loving everyday!! πŸ₯°

Hello all,
Today marks a super special anniversary of 20 years since we opened. I am sure you can appreciate what a special achievement this is. Claire and Garry (owners for the duration) would like to send their heartfelt thanks to everybody for their continued support and for choosing Cheeky Monkeys to care for your amazing children. They would also like to thank the staff team who work so hard to care, nurture, support, and make every day fun filled and educational for your children. We have been so blessed over the years to meet some fabulous people and have made lots of friends along the way. There have been a few challenges, too, but together, we have always worked through them πŸ₯°
We are so excited to celebrate our 20th birthday with a party on Sunday at Whaley Bridge bowling club.. We hope everyone on the guest list can enjoy the celebration with us.

Hi all,
This is just a reminder that the Cheeky Monkeys 20th Anniversary party is on this Sunday, 30th April, at Whaley Bridge Bowling club. All tickets are free and it will be a fab celebration of such a wonderful milestone. We have a disco, bouncy castle, soft play, face painting, treats, and food for the children and adults. It's a lovely way for all parents/carers to meet and for the children to have lots of fun. This isn't a staffed party as the team will be taking part in the celebrations too πŸŽ‰πŸŽΆπŸ₯³ so parents/carers will be asked to supervise or even better join in πŸ’ƒπŸ•ΊπŸŽ‰πŸŽΆ
Please remember what your allocated party time is. We have you all written on our guest list of either 12-2 or 3 -5pm. (ask if unsure). For anyone who hasn't yet booked and would like to join us, let one of us know ASAP as we need to keep the caterers up to date with numbers. The 12 - 2 party is nearly full, but we do have spaces 3 -5pm. We look forward to seeing you all there and welcoming back some of our previous Cheeky Monkeys family who missed out on graduation activities during the pandemic. πŸ˜ƒπŸ₯°πŸŽΆ
Kind Regards
From Claire, Garry and the team x
