The Mae Yoga

💫 Yoga on YouTube for intentional mind body connection ✨

Operating as usual

This week's yoga class is 30 minutes of gentle flow and stretching to feel grounded and work into the hips. Head over to my YouTube channel to join in 🥰

The Mae Yoga had a revamp 💫

From the January, join me on YouTube for weekly classes every Monday! We will be flowing, grounding and energising our way through the new year with accessible classes designed to let you have a little bit of the yoga studio experience at home. Whether that is 10 minutes or an hour!

Click the link in my bio to subscribe to my channel so you don’t miss the first class 🫶

A note on payments:
We will not be using the online booking system and going old school with just payment on the day (£8 for every class) or you can still buy class passes that are valid for 3 months (£35). Cash or card in the studio or bank transfer is great. Please still let me know if you are coming to class the best you can, if you're not in the Whatsapp group please email me your number and I will add you! I have noted down everyone's credits ect so we can go forward with pen and paper! This is so I don't have to put the costs up for you guys.

Rest is as good as the rest 😌

This time of year, we all reach our peak activity as the weather is good and the nights are long but when was the last time you gave yourself permission to properly rest?

It's easy to forget to stop and chill when we're making hay but how can we ever expect to improve if we don't take the time to let all that goodness sink in?

In class we do this with a Savasana, outside of class it could look like a little stroll, a dunk in some water or a pint with some friends.

What will you hear me say in class ALL THE TIME?

"You're here for 3 more breathes so make it count."

What I actually mean here is use the breathe as a way to hold your attention to what your doing. This is such a handy skill to bring off the mat and into your life and your adventures. Count the breathes and let them hold you in the very present moment.

Give it a go right now, tune into the next 3 breathes you take 🐚 🌙

“The truth of a thing is the feel of a thing, not the think of it.”

Stanley Kubrick ✨

Spot the climber 👀

It doesn't really get better for a climber than blue skies and 3 star routes 🤩

Pembroke's got it going on

A little mantra for you on the first weekend of July 🥰

Have a good day, remember you get to decide most of it x

Gentle mondays 🥰

Whether you need sometime to find a bit of headspace or you want that deep deep stretch- Monday is for you. This class is very accessible for all levels, bodies and minds so come along and try it out every Monday 6.30-7.30pm in Crich Glebe Centre

Is it just me or do pets catch your vibe when your practising at home?

When was the last time you let yourself explore? There's something so freeing about putting away the tracking apps and maps and just seeing what you can find- you'll almost always find something you didn't quite expect!

Where's your favourite place to wander?

Are you ready for the summer solstice?

The longest day of the year is on Tuesday and it's one of the most powerful times of the year (subtle energy wise) and a great opportunity to connect to your joy and reflect on the first half the year. Here's some very easy rituals you can do to harness that solar power ✌️🌞

1. Wear yellow, orange or gold.
2. Practise your sun salutations.
3. Watch the sun go down in some beautiful nature.
4. Do something that gives you a playful sense of joy.
5. Journal and reflect on the first half of the year.

How do you feel when you do that thing that feels challenging?

There is no better feeling than knowing you tried your hardest. It's sometimes better than getting to the top and it's definitely a skill that needs to be honed. Giving yourself the permission to give it your all is easier said than done, more often than not it's our own brain that gets in in the way.

Here's your reminder to give it all you got x

Timetable Updates for the Summer 🌞

As you have heard on email and through the stories, I will no longer be teaching on a Tuesday in Matlock. It was a tough decision but the right one for a number of personal reasons, I hope to be back FlowMotion.Life in the Autumn (and actually go to some of Wendy's amazing classes for myself!)

✨Monday is continuing as usual and Saturday is the same but when the weather plays ball will be in Holloway House Garden (yay!). If you have not heard anything the class will be in the hall but keep an eye on our Whatsapp group, emails and stories to check if we will be in the garden.

✨ Drop me a message to be added to the Whatsapp group or sign up to receive email updates and a special 3 for £15 class credit for new yogis

See you all soon,

Anna x

THIS much love 😍

Seeing something amazing in nature is always something that give me the feels. Definitely feeling some wanderlust, how about you?

Postures to help you explore 🤸‍♀️

Tight hips often hold us back from taking the big step we need when we hike and climb- try these postures to gain a little more flexibility.

✨ Skandasana
✨ Tree Posture
✨ Spider plank
✨ Cobbler posture
✨ Yin Reclined Cobbler

Check out my reel for the tutorial!

Where do you feel yourself?

When you find that thing that feeds your soul and makes your heart sing, you owe it yourself to prioritise time for it 🍃💫

Who can name this beautiful view behind me?

Make it a ritual ✨✌️

Every Tuesday 6.15-7.15pm we practise together in Matlock. This class is perfect for any adventurer wanting to feel a little balance between strength and softness, find some focus and grounding and keep the body and mind as one ☝️

DM me to join in (the first class is free!)

The view from the top- even though someone might be able to tell you what it looks like, no one can tell you what it will feel like 🦅🏔]

Can you name this mountain range?

Willing to look like a beginner - hate being bad at things ✨

A powerful combination 🌿

First class is free when you sign up online ✌

Finding the right yoga teacher is key to finding your groove with the practise. When you find someone you click with and feel on a level with- the yoga will come.

We 'teachers' are merely passing on what we have learned and provide you with the space and guidance to practise. Try me out by signing up to my online booking system (link in my bio) x

The Golden Hour 🌻✌

This is my favourite block to climb on- The Roaches gives the most beautiful light and this lil slab is a playground.

Here's to evenings out playing in the glow (apart from when we are practising 😘

Are you sitting comfortably? ✨🌿

When we say a comfortable seat in a yoga class, we mean YOUR comfortable seat. Scroll through my reels to find a few personalised options that might feel good in your body.
