Join us for FREE* Foot Golf sessions this September at Horsehay Village Golf Centre.

As the new school year begins, why not make time for some fun with your child? Enjoy the fresh air, get active together, meet other local dads and create lasting memories. No experience is needed and all abilities are welcome.

I am SUPER PROUD of Class 1 this week! 🤩 Reception children have been amazing at coming into school, listening to instructions and even lining up! The year 1s have welcomed them in and played really nicely together. 👍🏻 Below is a snapshot of just some of the things that we’ve been up to. Thank you for making my first week in Class 1 so wonderful. 🩷 Mrs Bane and I are really looking forward to having everyone in at once next week! 🦩

We had a lovely transition hour with the new reception children this afternoon and they seemed to love the classroom so I thought I would share my holiday project with you all. ✏️ 🦩 I have been busy in school transforming Class 1, with some help from my fabulous team, to totally change the space. I hope you like it as much as we do and I can’t wait to see the year 1s enjoying it tomorrow too! 🩷

🎒 Welcome Back! 🏫

We’re really looking forward to welcoming all of our children back to school tomorrow! 😊

All of the staff have been busy getting everything ready and can’t wait to see everyone and hear all about their summer adventures.

A few reminders for tomorrow:

⏰ 8:40am – Children should be on the playground, lined up and ready to meet their teachers.

👕 Uniform – All children should come to school in their full school uniform.

💧 Water bottle – Please remember to bring a water bottle.

🍎 Healthy snack – Children should also bring a healthy snack for break time.

🍽️ School dinners – We are on Week 1 – Wednesday of the school dinner menu.

We hope everyone has a good night’s sleep ready for the first day back!

I would just like to say a huge THANK YOU to all parents for the wonderful gifts, cards, flowers and messages that myself and the class 2 team have received this week. ☺️ You are raising some amazing children who have made me so proud this year. 🍦📚☀️ Holiday Reading Challenge launches across libraries in Telford and Wrekin.

Libraries around Telford and Wrekin are inviting children aged 4 to 11 to take part in a fun, free Holiday Reading Challenge, designed to keep young people reading and visiting libraries throughout the school holidays.

Launching this summer, the campaign encourages children to read eight books and collect a stamp for each book on a special Holiday Reading Collector’s Card, available from any library across the Borough.

From picture books and early readers to chapter books and audiobooks, children can choose stories they enjoy and complete the challenge at their own pace. Each completed book earns a stamp, and children who collect all eight will receive a certificate celebrating their reading achievement.

Today we said goodbye to our Year 6 Class of 2026! 👋🏻

You have all been amazing and have done so well during your time with us. We are all so proud of you and we know you will continue to do fantastically at secondary school!

Class 2 are very proud to announce that we have won the attendance trophy for the whole year with an amazing 97.18% attendance! A perfect way to end my 13 years teaching class 2. 🦩 They have been a superb and resilient bunch who were extremely proud of themselves for this fantastic achievement. 🏆 Well done children and thank you to your families for their support. 🩷
