Hello to all parents, teachers, pupils and supporters of Beaufront School.
For those of you I haven’t met yet, my name is Nicky Rasmussen, and I volunteer in Early Years with Mrs Boucetla and her team.
I also do a spot of running, or should I say plodding, and have been known to slowly make my way around the odd 10k race or half marathon.
I’ve been fortunate to score a ballot place in the Great North Run this year. I am therefore not tied to any particular charity.
I love my volunteer work at Beaufront, and I would like to show my support for the school, by running this year to raise funds for the school. I know times are tough for many of us at the moment, but any support you are able to give would be wonderful! And I promise to do my best to make it round the Great North! It’s on Sunday 10 September, so I have 8 weeks to up my training and try to raise a few pennies.

The ‘Go Fund Me’ Page for Nicky’s run will be set up soon so please look out for emails and links! All of the money raised will be spent on essential improvements to the school environment and resources for enriching the curriculum.

UPDATE: An extremely kind parent has offered to pay for the repair of the climbing frame, which is fantastic!
We still need further equipment for enrichment and outdoor activities, as well as indoor play equipment, so I am keeping the GoFundMe open, at a lower target amount.

Please donate to our GoFundMe page...We are trying to raise funds to repair and improve the school's play equipment.

Love this...

Tears were brought to parents' eyes this morning as a Welsh school sent out this lovely message. Today, the pupils' assignment is to just be kids, making memories in the snow. ❤❄

I am just counting up the money from the Smarties challenge but I have 9 tubes and a jar unaccounted for!
There is a class challenge so I would really like to get it into the right class figures. Would anyone know if one of them is their tube? Xx

LAST CALL FOR SMARTIES TUBES!!
Tomorrow is the last day to get your filled smarties tubes in to be counted towards the winning class!
Remember, any amount, big or small, will help so, if you haven't already, please chuck some coins in your tubes and send them in in the morning.

Hope everyone has had a lovely half term break and are looking forward to going back to school.
Just a quick reminder to get the Smarties tubes filled, sealed and named. They will be collected this week and the final amounts worked out by Monday 6th. Remember, the winning class will get an extra play time so get collecting!
NB. If you have not filled your Smarties tube, or if you don't have 20p pieces, don't worry. Any amount, big or small, will help us raise the funds we need to support our children.

Huge thank you to everyone who was involved with the cake sale yesterday.
We still need to add on the payments through the gateway so I am sure it will be a fantastic start to 2023's fundraising.
I hope you all enjoyed the cakes!

Today we have sent out tickets for the Beaufront Big Christmas Raffle!
Each family has 5 books so please sell what you can. If you need any more books please email the school or ask your PTA year rep.

The fantastic prizes include: A six month membership at Inline fitness; a voucher for £75 to be used at Scamore Corbridge; and a full body massage at Beautiful Betty - among many others!

The draw takes place on Wednesday 21st December, and remember, the more you buy, the more chance you have of winning!
