Hello and thank you for visiting my page . I'm a qualified Primary teacher who offers quality, bespoke tuition in Maths and English to Primary-aged pupils. I'm passionate about teaching and learning, and also hold a CELTA* qualification in teaching English as a second or additional language.
*Cambridge English Language Teaching to Adults accreditation. I have more than 10 years'

experience working within Educational settings, including:

- 6 years' as a full-time Primary teacher (working with Years 3-6)
- Teaching English as an additional language to children aged 8-16
- 2 years' experience as a Primary Supply teacher, working with children from Reception to Year 6
- Tutoring face-to-face and online for a year, including experience of tutoring/teaching children with dyslexia and ASD. Tutoring with Amber

💻 I have Terms and Conditions that set out what to do in the event of illness or holiday and how my monthly invoices work

💻A GDPR policy that sets out how I store your data

💻A photo/video consent form that parents need to sign before I use any photos of their child’s work online

☀️Summer Tutor Challenge #12 My Working Day…

🎲 I offer tuition online and face-to-face so my days are varied. I tutor lots of children with SEN so I travel with lots of practical resources and games…my car boot has become somewhat of an extra resource cupboard! 👀

In between tutoring I have planning, invoicing, advertising and business admin (the less-enjoyable, yet unavoidable parts of my day!)… making sure my business is compliant with new government legislation and GDPR to name but a few. 💻

***I do have some daytime spaces for tuition on Tuesdays and a waiting list for after-school tuition from September ***

Summer Tutor Challenge #11 Outdoors

During my summer holiday tuition we’ve been using giant chalks (and I mean giant!), giant snakes and ladders, water pistols, hoops, beanbags and cones in our outdoor learning. Combining these with our usual mix of games has meant sessions over the summer holidays have been even more fun and engaging!

Summer Tutor Challenge # 10…Favourite Book

📚My favourite book will always be my childhood favourite…a really bonkers book by Enid Blyton called ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’.

🍿It was made into a film which was released in March of this year, but I haven’t seen it as I think watching it might ruin some of the magic I remember from the book 🤔

Summer Tutor Challenge #9 Tutor Hack

This is an interesting one…but I guess it could be saving what would normally be household recycling to turn into resources for tutoring.

✅Milk bottle tops = phonics
✅Unusual boxes = a multitude of uses
✅Take away tubs = storage for various items like my magnetic letters + phonics (find the word)
✅ Egg boxes = number recognition/phonics
✅ Kitchen roll tubes = paper clip people
