Busy Nought to Fives

Busy Nought to Fives Since 1992 Busy Nought to Fives have been offering high quality childcare for children aged 0-5 years We employ professional, caring and qualified staff.

Busy Nought to Fives Nurseries are a long standing, professional childcare company with over 30 years of excellent experience. Members of the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) we are an experienced and professional nursery group covering the North West area. Established in 1992, we have been providing care for our client’s children that meets the highest standard expected. Our team is comm

itted to providing a safe and stimulating environment where you can feel comfortable about leaving your child in the care of well trained and professional staff, who are not only aware of your needs, but also the needs of your child. Our nurseries and our staff provide a nurturing environment that will give your child the experiences, encouragement and opportunity to develop their full potential. Since young children learn as much from communication with others as they do from their exploration of the world around them, we encourage your children to interact with their peer group. This is a vital aspect of their development, and as such, all of our settings are arranged into rooms dedicated to different age groups. Your child will progress through these rooms, depending not only on their age, but also on their stage of development and individual needs. Our aim is to provide an environment where children are safe and secure, but also one in which they can develop, grow and acquire social skills. We focus on the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements and provide a curriculum to support this. As part of our ongoing commitment, we also provide parents with a daily diary so that they can see what their child has been doing whilst they have been with us. From the moment you walk through our doors, you know that you are somewhere that offers outstanding childcare facilities. We take pride in offering high quality childcare and opportunities to promote a child’s all round personal, social and emotional development. Our nurseries are beautifully equipped, maintained to a high standard, with large airy rooms, as well as spacious outdoor play areas which we believe to be an integral part of your child’s development. Our minimum level of qualification is NVQ Level 3, and all staff are currently qualified or working towards this standard. We also employ Early Years Professionals and Qualified teachers to work across our settings.

As part of our Doctors week in Pre-School we looked at the human body and how it works. We used an anatomy jigsaw which showed all the different layers of our body and we discussed what each layer does, we also took part in several creative activities including making our own X-rays. Toddlers and Babies had set up a hospital and doctors surgery's in their tuff trays and the children all enjoyed making everyone better.

The preschool children enjoyed activities linked to β€œAll About Me”, exploring the ways in which we are all different. The children notice and ask questions about differences, such as skin colour, types of hair, gender, as they draw portraits of themselves whilst looking into the mirror. The children were able to see themselves as a valuable individual.

The children also had a discussion about feelings during their tuff tray activity showing that they able to talk about and manage their emotions and talk about ways they find to calm themselves.

Pre-school have been exploring our new musical instruments! They have enjoyed using their senses to discover high and low sounds on both the keyboard and the drum set. We also focused on turn taking and enhancing their communication and language skills whilst doing this.

This week's topic is 'Police'. The staff in baby room have created a fantastic tuff tray for the babies to explore. Pre-school have set up their own fingerprinting station and had lots of fun learning about finger prints. We have been using the ink pad to print our own and using the magnifying glasses to look at the patterns.
