Hessle Pre-School Welcome to Hessle Preschool Nursery Group Limited est. 1981.

Hessle Pre School Nursery is a family run business which has been offering a high quality service for over 30 years. The setting is based in a large detached house set in beautiful tree-lined gardens, both front and rear. The gardens have been "furnished" with all-weather grassed areas meaning the children can enjoy the experience of all year round out-door play; enjoying the wildlife and bug hunting as well as splashing in the puddles and building snowmen. We have our own gardening club called "little shoots" were the children have fun planting seeds and watching their plants, vegetables and fruits grow. Our setting is equipped with age appropriate toys and equipment and our rooms also are split into age-related areas - our unique service.

Autumn Adventures, Space Week & Hull Fair fun

What a wonderful time we’ve had exploring, creating and learning together in our nursery garden!

Autumn Adventures

The children have been busy collecting and exploring natural treasures, using colourful leaves, twigs, conkers and pinecones to create their own beautiful autumn-inspired artwork. We’ve been talking about the changing seasons, noticing different colours, textures and shapes, and discovering how nature changes around us.

Space Week

Our little astronauts have been reaching for the stars as they designed and created their very own rockets! We’ve been sparking curiosity about space, talking about planets, stars and the moon, and using our imaginations to think about what it might be like to travel into space and singing some of our favourite songs like zoom zoom zoom.

Hull Fair Celebrations

With Hull Fair in town the children have been getting creative with their own colourful fairground pictures! We’ve explored the sights and excitement of the fair, including rides, bright lights and funfair attractions, while developing our creativity and sharing our own experiences.

But the learning doesn’t stop at making masterpieces!

Through these exciting activities, the children have been:

Developing fine motor skills through painting, sticking, drawing and creating.

Building vocabulary, communication and language by talking about their ideas and discoveries and singing lots of fun songs and rhymes.

Exploring colours, shapes, patterns, counting and comparing.

Learning to share resources, take turns and work alongside their friends.

Developing curiosity, imagination, problem-solving and creative thinking.

Building confidence by making their own choices and celebrating their achievements.

At Hessle Preschool Nursery, we believe some of the best learning happens through play, exploration and hands-on experiences. It’s lovely to see the children’s imaginations flourish as they explore the world around them!

3,2,1 Blast off - It is World Space week this week and we have an out of this world week of fun and learning planned !
We are going to be exploring the amazing world of space, planets and astronauts through lots of exciting, hands on activities and imaginary play !
We will be learning about the planets and what makes the solar system so special.
Designing and building our own astronaut helmets.
Building and decorating rockets ready for our space adventures.
Using our imaginations to blast off into space and visit faraway planets
Getting creative with lots of space themed crafts and activities.

Our little astronauts will be developing their communication, creativity, teamwork, problem solving and imagination skills as they learn through play and exploration.
Who knows where our rockets might take us !!!!! 5,4 3,2,1 blastoff

What an amazing time we all had this morning when Tony the music man came in to sing songs and play the musical instruments with the children. They all loved singing some of their favourite songs such as Old MacDonald Farm, If you're happy and you know it, heads, shoulders, knees and toes and a variety of different nursery rhymes.
Music and singing play a hugely important role in children’s early development. They provide fun and engaging opportunities for children to develop their communication and language skills, build confidence, express their feelings and develop listening and attention skills.
Singing nursery rhymes and songs helps children learn new words, develop their memory, rhythm and early mathematical skills, while dancing and moving to music supports physical development and coordination. Most importantly, music brings children and adults together, creating shared experiences that support positive relationships, emotional wellbeing and a strong sense of belonging.
Well done everybody we are looking forward to Tony's next visit.
