Mathematics at York The society for those who like Maths Get to know other people who like Maths on a variety of socials and events!

05/06/2015

I would like to thank everyone who took part in today's Symposium event and offer congratulations to the winners of the departmental awards.

It is the aim of the committee to now build upon this success, and so we will be publishing our agenda for the new academic year in the forthcoming two weeks.

26/03/2015

As part of the new committees plans to expand into the wider community, we have A-Level tuition opportunities at an academy school in York.

This will involve assisting students with their A-Level exam preparation, with an approximate hourly salary of £25, negotiable.

This opportunity is open to everyone in the society, regardless of past experience, and is not only an unbelievable chance to develop a CV worthy addition, but to earn money while contributing to the personal academic development of a younger student.

Please email the chair: [email protected] with the following information:

-Name
-Contact Information: Email and/or mobile number.
-Past Experience (Not required due to our opportunities for all policy)
-Area of maths that interests you or that you would consider your strongest.

This opportunity is just one of many reasons to register for the mathematics society. In addition, our preliminary events calendar for the summer term will be coming to you next week!
