Choosing a nursery is such a big decision. A visit is a chance to see if we feel like the right partner for your family, and whether our approach to care and learning fits your child.

Book a visit here: https://app.famly.co/ #/customInquiryForm/59630356-bdfb-43c5-837a-fcd6d3a8911a/to/6bdf97c3-5749-4a25-9b7d-bd1081ddbd36/submit

When you come, we’ll take you on a calm, unhurried look around our indoor spaces, with plenty of time to talk through your child’s needs, routines, and what matters most to you. You’re very welcome to bring your little one along, so they can explore, have a wander, and start to feel comfortable in the setting.

Because we’re a farm-based nursery, we’ll spend time outside too. Please bring wellies and a coat so you can see the outdoor spaces properly.

You’ll meet the animals your child will be interacting with as part of their day here, and we’ll show you how they’re included in our routines and learning.

If you have any questions before booking, send us a message and we’ll be happy to help.

There’s something about a rainy weekend that quietly gives us permission to come back to ourselves.

When it’s grey outside, the pressure to be “on” softens a bit. Plans get cancelled. The pace drops. And suddenly we get a small window to reset, reconnect with home, and switch off from being so externally focused. Less noise. Less rushing. Less news. More presence.

And with little ones around, it can be even more comforting. Rain is a natural cue to make things smaller and slower. A chance to notice them properly, instead of just managing the day. To play on the floor for ten minutes, to read the same book again, to do a puzzle without checking the time. To let “enough” be enough.

Also, we don’t have to stay indoors. There’s something so simple and so lovely about getting wrapped up, heading out for a quick walk, and letting them jump in puddles. Cheeks pink, wellies splashing, coming home to warm up afterwards. It’s proper childhood, and it reminds us grown-ups too.

Rainy days remind us that life doesn’t always need to be busy to be good. Sometimes it’s the small things that fill everyone back up. Warm food. Cosy clothes. A shared film. A proper chat at the table. A calmer bedtime, even if the day’s been a bit wobbly.

Hygge is exactly that feeling: comfort, calm, and connection in the moment.

What does your rainy weekend reset look like with your little ones?

We took a survey of all the children at Hygge Bears Nursery and the results are in…

The BEST part of nursery is being out in nature on the farm with our animal friends!

Being based at Foxholes Farm means our days come with fresh air, muddy boots, big smiles, and lots to explore. We’re so lucky to work closely with the wonderful team at Foxholes Farm Shop & Butchery, so our little adventurers can head out to the farm park, meet the animals, and have a proper play on the equipment every day.

And if you look closely at the photos… you might spot two tiny new arrivals. The children met them when they were only hours old, and it was one of those “stop and take it in” moments. Watching life and nature just happen up close like that is pure magic.

This is our kind of classroom.

A few photos, finally 📸🤎

We’ve finally managed to get some snaps of the inside of Hygge Bears, and we couldn’t not share. We’ve put so much love into making it feel calm, cosy and just right for little ones to belong, be themselves, and get curious.

🎄 A Little Christmas Hygge

December is full of equal parts magic and busyness. Hygge is about slowing down, switching off and finding comfort in the simple moments.

Hygge is simple. It does not require special plans or perfection. Small, everyday choices can support wellbeing by helping us feel calmer, more connected, and less overwhelmed.

This Christmas, it might look like:
⏱️ removing distractions and being present in the moment for five minutes
☕️ sitting down and making the time to enjoy your favourite hot drink
😊 being present with your thoughts, the people you love, or the moment you are in

It is not about doing more. It is about caring for yourself and each other, and enjoying the season at a gentler pace.

💛 Maybe try being a little more Hygge this festive season?

At Hygge Bears, individuality is not a slogan, it is how we work every day. We take time to understand each child’s temperament, emotional needs, interests and routines, then adapt our care and learning around them.

There is no one size fits all approach here. This means quieter children are not rushed, confident children are guided with care and every child is supported in a way that feels right for them. When children are met where they truly are, they grow in confidence, emotional security and a strong sense of self worth that follows them well beyond their time at nursery.

Our day does not begin and end at the nursery door. We work in close partnership with parents through daily communication, shared observations and open conversations about routines, development and wellbeing. This allows us to support children consistently across home and nursery, especially through big moments like settling in, toilet training, sleep transitions or emotional changes.

When children experience the same understanding and support in both places, they feel safer, more settled and better able to regulate their emotions and behaviour.
