✨ Room on the Broom is one of our favourite books! ✨

🧪 We brought this brilliant story to life and made our very own potions outdoors 🧪

We used our imagination, retold the story, explored rhyming words, got out in nature and most importantly of all…. We had fun! 🤩

If you have any old pots, pans or utensils at home, hang on to them! They are a fantastic resource for sooo many activities 👍🏻

P.S it really was magic (and luck) to find the perfect broomstick shaped branch at the end! 😄

📚 💫 World Book Day This Thursday 💫 📚.

We will be celebrating in class and sharing our love for reading & books 💚.

Children are welcome to dress up if they would like to. Also, if they would like to bring along their favourite book, we will take part in a book swap during class and share our favourite stories with each other. 📚

Activities will be based around some classic stories and there will be a Mother’s Day activity to take part in too! It’s definitely a very busy week! 😅.

Any questions please give me a shout, I look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday! 💚.

Sensory letters and sounds 🖐️

Multisensory activities hold so much potential for early writing and have a lasting impact. Using their senses stimulates different parts of children’s brains, making learning letter formation much more memorable and much more engaging. 🤩🧠

There are so many great materials you can use - rice, lentils, sand, salt, feathers, grass, sticks, oats, cereals….. why not give it a go at home!? 👍🏻.

Once made these are a fantastic sensory resource for sound recognition & letter formation ✍️
