Despite an emotional goodbye to our Year 2 children (and some of our wonderful staff) we have had a final day full of fun, laughter and hugs. We wish you all the best as you continue your journey into Year 3. We know you will all continue to amaze us.🥰

We are looking forward to welcoming our new Year R children in September and hope you all have a relaxing, fun filled summer break. Have fun everyone! 🥰💕🤗

Year 2 had a wonderful trip to Margate yesterday! The children had lots of fun building sandcastles, digging holes and burying themselves in the sand! They also enjoyed a delicious ice lolly and eating their packed lunches on the beach…even the seagulls were trying to have a taste! 🏖️☀️

Year 2 classes had a wonderful time during their ‘Mission Impossible’ themed Tent Days last week! Throughout the day they worked in their special secret agent teams to complete a variety of exciting missions. Each mission was designed to test their teamwork, creativity, problem solving skills and determination! I wonder if your child can tell you what their favourite mission was?🕵️‍♂️

On Friday, the Year 2 children had a fantastic time at Herne Fest, celebrating the end of their journey at Herne Infants! They had a wonderful evening dancing and singing, eating hot dogs and ice cream and having lots of fun with their friends and school adults! What an amazing send off for our Year 2 children! 🥳💕

On Monday, Year 2 visited Canterbury Cathedral to attend a special leavers service. We also explored the grounds and delved deep into its history. We loved seeing all the previous Archbishop's, the famous Martyrdom and the beautiful building itself. We even were allowed to explore the crypt! I wonder if your child could tell you any facts about the Cathedral? 🤔

On Wednesday, Ms Bennett and Mrs Stevens had the pleasure of taking 14 children to Herne Bay High School for a football competition!
The children played excellently, passing to each other, celebrating each goal, shaking hands after a match and demonstrated great team work.
Both teams won all 4 matches without conceding a single goal! Then came the semi-finals!
After a tiring and hard match, it was Herne Team A that won the whole competition! Team B came 4th out of 8 schools!
Both teams played amazingly and Ms Bennett and Mrs Stevens were so proud of their hard work. Well done Herne Infants! 👏
