It was great to attend the ‘We Love SENCos’ conference at LSE this week as Founder of The Reading Doctors.

A powerful reminder of the incredible work SENCos do every day to support pupils with SEND.

Across our network, we see that dedication firsthand.

We are also very proud too of our partnership with , helping screen for dyslexia earlier and drive more effective intervention.

It is always great to hear back from our parent community. Check out here what a parent had to say about their child's Reading journey with JP, our Reading Doctor, Beckenham!

Did you know that around 1 in 10 people are thought to have dyslexia?

But what if it is not about “can’t read” - and more about how a child learns differently?

What if a child who struggles with reading also shows strong creativity, problem-solving, or verbal skills?

What if we are missing those strengths because we are focused only on what they find difficult?

And what if early understanding could change everything?

We believes that as parents and teachers, it is vital that we truly understand each child’s learning profile - their strengths as well as their challenges.

At The Reading Doctors, we help start that journey.

Using the Talamo screening tool, we can identify the level of risk a child may have of dyslexia.

This gives valuable insight into how they learn, where they may struggle, and what support will make the biggest difference.

We offer this screening for:
• Existing Reading Doctor pupils
• New pupils
• School Hubs
• Local Authorites

Important: This is not a formal dyslexia diagnosis. The screening helps us identify risk and provides a detailed report outlining areas of need, along with practical guidance for parents and schools to support the child effectively.

Early insight leads to better support, greater confidence, and stronger outcomes.
