Thank you to all our students and their families for a fantastic year. It’s been an honour to see them grow in confidence as well as ability. The team has also grown this year with some fantastic specialist tutors joining us and we now support Maths, Science and English at secondary level as well as working with primary students. Thank you for recommending us to other families. It means so much that 90% of our students come via word of mouth.
If you’ve not yet left a Google review we would be be so grateful. Wishing you all a fantastic Xmas and a great 2025! 🌟 🎄
Learning With Lauren & Co- group and 1:1 tutoring
Hi I'm Lauren. I head a team of qualified teachers with a passion for building children's confidence, skills & growth mindset .
Please feel free to message me with any Qs or to schedule an informal chat on the phone to talk through options.
Operating as usual
Results day! I know you’re feeling nervous for them . They’ve worked hard and you just want the best for them. If they don’t get the result they/you hoped for, it doesn’t stop them from having a bright future.
It’s not the result but how we deal with this day that will shape how they feel about themselves and their abilities.Hold space for however they’re feeling after tomorrow’s results and be proud of them regardless of the outcome. They will look to those around them to gauge how to feel and if they know you’re proud of their efforts regardless of what the outcome was it will help them regulate and feel unconditionally accepted which is so important to their self esteem. 🫶🏻
📌 2024/2025 11+ timetable.
Please enquire as to whether there's still spaces available where FULL is not stated. We have excellent tutors with 1:1 online availability and for small groups in person (with the option for additional 1:1 support as and where you need.)
Lots of options to to support different circumstances. We do daytime adhoc sessions for parents if you're preparing at home and need some support or a plan. We have regular availability for baseline assessments if you're not sure whether you even want to put your child forward for the 11+ and would love some advice and guidance. Message me on WhatsApp if you have any questions.🙂
Whether it's building more confidence in a subject or support with preparing to do their best for an exam, we've got you. Friendly and supportive tutors here to help. All you have to do is send a message telling us your concerns and we'll go from there.🙂
If anyone would like a breakdown of our support options and an overview of how our year of preparation looks please just ask and I’ll send it over. It’s too much info for me to put into one post. You don’t know what you don’t know and finding out what 11+ preparation entails equips you to make the right decision for your child and your family. Here to help. 😊
It’s been a wonderful week of final 11+ sessions and thank you so much for your kind words and gifts. It’s honestly been a joy to support your children and see how much these students have grown not just in their academic ability but in confidence and their willingness to face a challenge and know it’s ok to make mistakes in the learning process. I believe this will help their mindset in the coming year and beyond.
Wishing all my students and anyone taking the Kent test tomorrow the very best of luck and please remember these very important things:
⭐️ A TEST RESULT CAN NEVER DEFINE YOU
🚀 It’s not just ability but your attitude to learning that will take you far.
🧠 JUST TRY YOUR BEST.
⚡️ MINDSET IS EVERYTHING. It’s normal to be nervous. Keep breathing deeply. Believe in yourself and remember how far you’ve come!! 💪
Now go show them what you can do 🙌🏻
#11+tutor
Families don’t *need* or *have to* get a tutor and shouldn’t feel pressured to because someone else they know is…There’s many other ways to support a child which can work well too, but I see way too many parents getting shamed for getting expert guidance and support for their child and for themselves too. There’s massive misconceptions around getting help which I find sad because getting the right support can be not only be stress reducing and confidence building it can make lightbulbs come on in areas they had convinced themselves they were no good at which can be life changing for many students!
👇🏻 Here’s just a few ways a tutor’s support can reduce stress and pressure for not just the child but also for parents.
⭐️ Personal Attention: Get personalised support for specific challenges that can’t be supported in school, prevent wasting time and damaging self esteem from struggling to figure things out alone or adding stress for parents that aren’t sure how to help
⭐️ Clear Understanding: Tutors help clarify confusing concepts quickly, easing exam worries and being there to ask questions and get solutions.
⭐️ Identifying strength and weaknesses and adapting study plans to meet these, creating a structured roadmap for stress-free exam prep.
⭐️ Focused practice with feedback: Building confidence through guided practice and useful feedback that identifies what their next steps need to be.
⭐️ Time Management: Learning to manage prep time effectively and identify strategies to save time during an exam, reducing test anxiety.
⭐️ Growth mindset: learning to get past a fear of mistakes and “failing” which can impact them way beyond any test.
What are your thoughts on having tutoring? Have you tried it?
Last night we celebrated this group’s efforts in our last small group session, the fun we’ve had, learning we have completed and the camaraderie they’ve built. This time next week the Kent test will all be over! I will genuinely miss them, their personalities, their humour and watching how far they’ve come. Bright future’s ahead for these boys whatever Thursday brings! 💪 🧠 🚀
Don’t miss a place in one of our year long year 5 small groups designed to guide you through preparing for the Kent test. Places are limited to offer maximum support. We make test prep fun! 🤩
If you’re not sure what support your child will need please reach out for a no strings chat. We can answer any questions you might have and help you feel ready for the year ahead. 😊
Is your year 5 child seeming more anxious? You’re not alone. As the weeks til the 11+ count down, please know it is normal for test anxiety to build. Theirs and yours. It’s their first big test experience and it’s normal to have big feelings about that.
While it’s not nice to feel anxiety, it’s a part of life they can learn tools to support themselves now and long term. Helping them see the benefit of sticking to a routine builds independence and allowing flexibility and plenty of downtime is the best way to feel prepared but also relaxed.
Along side practice, it’s more important than ever to hold space for whatever they’re feeling, to give them an outlet for that. With tools for emotional regulation they can thrive. Don’t assume they are fine just because they’re not saying anything about the test or because you’ve talked about it previously.
Society labels less comfortable emotions as ‘bad’ and we try to avoid them but having a whole range of emotions is actually needed and to feel them is only human. Holding space is a reminder that they are accepted no matter what they are feeling.
If you’d like some support with dealing with test nerves , get in touch. We take a growth mindset and well-being focused approach to 11+ prep and we’ve been supporting families on the journey for nearly a decade.
Just a reminder- the right tutors aren't going to add pressure for your child, they are going to support them which helps to feel less stress. It all depends on how it's communicated. We talk to our students about why they think they are there and make sure that we are holding space for them to talk about their worries and concerns- we want to reduce stress for them and for you, not add to it! Get in touch if we can help 🥲👌

We’ve been very quiet on socials during exam prep season! Wanted to hop on here now all our GCSE students are done with their exams to say how proud we are of you!!! Really super proud 🙌🏻 🥰
Showing up to sessions and putting the work in to revise and prepare is commendable but what really has impressed us is the mindset and resilience you’ve shown. Your dedication and attitude are inspiring and it’s been an honour to support you along the way!
Regardless of results, the progress you’ve made and the growth mindset you’ve demonstrated show not just academic growth, but personal growth, and that is something to be celebrated! 👏 🎉
Thank you parents for trusting us to be part of your journey. This is just one step in a life long path of learning! 🌍 🦪 📚 🚀

Every parent knows the power of words. When we speak to our children, we're not just communicating—we're shaping their beliefs, values, and sense of self.
So why not choose our words wisely?
Imagine if we treated our children as wise, kind, and magical beings. What a difference it could make!
Because what they think of themselves shapes who they become. 💗

👋 Hey everyone! It’s been great to see our students again this week after the Easter holiday and some for the first time…we’ve had some fab new students come to their first 11+ and Science sessions and were so impressed with their enthusiasm and willingness to dive in and have a go!
We have some exciting updates to share very soon but for now wishing everyone a smooth adjustment back to school this week. Take it easy and make sure you get plenty of rest too! The brain is like a muscle and all muscles need rest as well as exercise 💪 🧠 👍🏻
