The Nursery children had a wonderful time baking their very own biscuits! They carefully mixed the ingredients, helped spoon the mixture onto the baking tray, and watched as their creations were baked. The best part was tasting their delicious biscuits afterwards!

Activities like baking help children develop important skills such as following instructions, taking turns, mixing, and building confidence, all while having lots of fun. Well done, Nursery!

The Nursery children have been having lots of sensory fun exploring shaving foam! They used their fingers to make patterns, draw pictures and marks, and discover the soft, fluffy texture. Activities like these help to develop creativity, early mark-making skills, and fine motor control, all while having fun and getting a little bit messy!

Nursery children have been exploring painting with watercolours and using their creativity to create beautiful rainbows!

As they carefully painted each colour, the children enjoyed experimenting with different techniques and watching the colours blend together. Activities like this encourage creativity, develop fine motor skills, and help children learn about colours in a fun way.

Nursery children have been developing their fine motor skills while having lots of creative fun!

Using tiny pieces such as shiny gems, soft feathers, and sparkly shapes, the children carefully glued them onto coloured paper to create their own unique pictures.

Activities like these help strengthen the small muscles in children's hands and fingers, supporting early writing skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration. Most importantly, the children discovered that learning can be fun, engaging, and full of creativity!

What a colourful day in Nursery!

The children have been exploring prime colours and using paints to create expressive faces. Can you tell how they are feeling?

Through creative experiences like this, children develop their imagination, strengthen hand-eye coordination and build important social and emotional skills as part of their Early Years learning journey.

Dolly Parton Day - 9-25
Today, the children have visited the school library to learn about Dolly Parton and how she gave millions of free books to children around the world. The staff dressed up in their best Tennessee outfits and each child has chosen a free book, donated by Vanessa and the team at Herne Bay Library. We even had line-dancing on the playground this Lunch Time!
Thank you to all of the Kent Libraries Team for these fantastic books, which the children can read, enjoy and keep with you at home!
