Job Title: Early Years Magician / SEN Support / Professional Glitter Remover
Responsible To: The Manager (who definitely knows where everything is... probably).
Purpose of the Role: To provide love, care, education, encouragement, snack-opening services, and emergency cuddles to a group of small humans whilst maintaining a safe, stimulating and occasionally chaotic environment.
Main Duties
Childcare & Education
=================
• Support children as they learn, grow, develop and occasionally explain dinosaurs to you for 45 minutes.
• Plan exciting activities that children may ignore in favour of a cardboard box.
• Complete observations and assessments whilst simultaneously building a tower, wiping a nose and locating a missing shoe.
Key Person Responsibilities
=====================
Become the most important person in the world after Mum, Dad and Paw Patrol.
Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
Remember every child's favourite toy, best friend, allergy and preferred colour.
Safeguarding
==========
Keep children safe from harm, danger and their own creative ideas.
Be able to spot when something isn't quite right.
Report concerns immediately and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Daily Operations
============
• Set up activities before the children arrive.
• Tidy away activities that children have expertly distributed across the entire setting.
• Locate missing water bottles, jumpers and approximately 173 hair accessories.
• Support snack and mealtimes whilst answering important questions such as:
“Why can't I eat glue?”
“Can worms fly?”
“Why is Wednesday?”
Teamwork
========
• Attend meetings.
• Undertake training.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues whilst pretending you know all the words to Baby Shark.
Essential Skills

✅ Ability to function after being called "Mum" seventeen times in one morning
