A small update from September

After three years without increasing our prices, we'll be making a small adjustment to our single class and class package prices from 1 September.

Throughout that time we've worked hard to keep yoga as accessible as possible while continuing to provide the highest quality teaching.

We're pleased to say that our memberships will remain at their current prices.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

A few reflections from Jenny-May following our retreat at Penpont Estate... 🌿

It’s often only after returning home that there’s time to appreciate everything that made a retreat so special—not just the yoga, but the people, the place and the moments in between.

Here’s Jenny-May’s reflection in her own words:

Well, I really enjoyed teaching at the completely stunning Penpont Estate.

The yoga hall is ideal- cool and breezy in the hot weather, with a bunch of handy pillars and beams for hanging off- we did loads of fabulous traction!

The venue itself is a gorgeous old manor set in vast grounds, sensitively managed for wildlife. You can feel the love that has gone into it and it’s full of delightful surprises including a Green Man maze, wood-fired sauna, dragon flies, butterflies, wild flowers and even otters. The river Usk is unspoiled this far upstream, and is perfect for a cleansing dip between classes. Each morning is heralded by a stunning dawn chorus.

The food by Gina’s Cantina was both delicious and nutritious and just hit the spot. Gina, as always, made her kitchen a place of warmth and enveloping generosity.

I was so blown away by the dedication, courage and kindness of everyone who attended. For me it was a massive privilege to be able to focus into some deep listening, and to practise the continually fascinating art of yoga with such an interesting and supportive bunch of people. Thank you so much. Hope we can do it again next year!

-We certainly hope so too.

What does 'progress' in yoga look like?

From Rhian, who works on our admin and marketing:

'I recently asked Jenny-May what she most enjoys seeing in students during class. Her answer was not what I expected.

It wasn't mastering a difficult pose, becoming more flexible, or physical achievement. It was seeing students begin to turn their attention inward, becoming more present in themselves and less distracted by the world around them.

As someone just starting out on my yoga journey, I found myself reflecting on where I experience those moments of presence in everyday life. For me, this is usually when I'm gardening.'

In yoga philosophy, this is known as Pratyahara – the practice of drawing the senses inwards. It reminds us that yoga isn't simply about physical achievement, but about cultivating awareness, stillness and presence.

Have you ever experienced that feeling of being completely present in the moment? We'd love to hear where you find it. 💙
