It's always tricky trying to make the right decision in the unpredictability of weather forecasts, but today it worked.

Due to the unpredictability of the weather today 😔

We have taken the decision to move it indoors into our Leisure Barn. It will now start at 12.30 and run until 2.30pm.

We will have our craft stall holders The The Van Waffle Company & lots of tea and coffee! And DWAEC will be joining us at 1.30pm.

Please do join us if you can, as we're indoors and it would be great to support the people who've made the journey over to join us today 😊

A massive thank you to the incredible maintenance team for giving up their weekend and setting up the barn today.

DWAEC will be joining us for the afternoon, they will be bringing their incredible animal show to Rowden.

Dazzles Face painting & Entertainments , will be here for all your tattoo & face painting needs!

Really Rural Co - will be bringing their fabulous 'have a go' at Archery sessions to Rowden.

drumlove will be drumming up some love with you during the afternoon.

We have live music with Ray, taking your requests for a 'good old fashioned sing a long'

Legges will be supplying lunch - meat & non meat options available. (Small charges apply - cash only).

We will be serving tea, coffee, and a selection of drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic)

Laylocks Garden Centre & Lamings Bakery will be supplying your sweet treats for the afternoon.

The Van Waffle Company - will be here waffling away the afternoon.

We have giant lawn games (Lego, Connect 4, Snakes and Ladders, Tetris, Jenga).

Midlands Air Ambulance & HWRF will be here with their Informative stalls for the afternoon.

We have a small selection of local craft stall holders joining us. (Cash & Card)

And finally we close the day with our Grand Raffle and this year we have some truly incredible prizes to be won 🎉

All the activities are free for everyone to enjoy for the afternoon, free parking & free entry.

Carl had a very successful and enjoyable holiday trip to Burnham-on-Sea from 18th to today 22nd May 2026

Carl had a wonderful time and engaged positively in a range of activities including beach walks, visits around the holiday village lake, shopping trips, restaurant outings, swimming and visits to The Helicopter Museum as well as The Blake Museum.

It was lovely to see Carl so happy and relaxed throughout the trip. I would especially like to thank the two staff members supporting him during the holiday, Masimba & Azeez.

Special thanks also go to Mathew for assisting with preparations and packing Carl’s suitcase, Linda, Louise, and Dave for helping with shopping for clothing and necessities, as well as Kirstie and Kamila for brilliantly organising all logistics and advance bookings which ensured the trip ran smoothly throughout.

Thank you as well to all colleagues who contributed towards making Carl’s holiday such a success.

Our Summer term Community Cafe at Rowden House School and Adult Homes -Herefordshire.

Students from our group learning session have spent this half term planning an inclusive cafe.

From looking at where we could hold the cafe to what items to sell, they had the final say.

I think everyone who attended would agree that they all did a fantastic job!

At Rowden we believe independence isn't about doing everything alone, it’s about having the support to participate in your own life.
For our student’s independence often looks like a series of "small" victories that are actually huge milestones.

And this week, it’s been about the small steps….

What a great way to spend a Friday morning, enjoying the freedom of the May Fair, Leominster.

On behalf of everyone Rowden House School and Adult Homes -Herefordshire, we would like to thank the Morris family for inviting our students & adult residents to spend the morning with you, everyone had such a great time enjoying the fairground rides and candy floss.
