Rowden House School and Adult Homes -Herefordshire

Parents, friends, family and staff gathered together on Friday to be part of the Rowden graduation day, and as ever it was a highly emotionally charged event with everyone inspired by the progress our students have made.

Wearing their formal gaps and gowns students looked so proud of themselves and rightly so. Staff read out wonderfully descriptive and meaningful acrostic poems and everyone gave three cheers to celebrate!

Then we all enjoyed an afternoon tea and lots of photographs were taken with caps thrown into the air and all present enjoying a wonderful celebration marking the end of the Rowden journey and the start of the next chapter.

I feel honoured to be the Head teacher at a school which has made such a difference to the lives of students and their families and wish them all the very best for the bright and happy futures they deserve.

A huge thank you to all of you who attended, helped organise and supported the students at the prom last week.

It was a great success and the parents who attended all shared how much they enjoyed it and how lovely it was to see their children and staff having fun together.

Olivia had a new experience of skiing at the Snow Dome Tamworth, she was ably assisted by Damon Clifford through Disability SnowSport UK .

Olivia had an amazing time on the snowy slopes and hope to repeat this activity again.

Due to the unpredictability of the weather today 😔

We have taken the decision to move it indoors into our Leisure Barn. It will now start at 12.30 and run until 2.30pm.

We will have our craft stall holders The The Van Waffle Company & lots of tea and coffee! And DWAEC will be joining us at 1.30pm.

We have live music with Ray, taking your requests for a 'good old fashioned sing a long'

Legges will be supplying lunch - meat & non meat options available. (Small charges apply - cash only).

We will be serving tea, coffee, and a selection of drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic)

Laylocks Garden Centre & Lamings Bakery will be supplying your sweet treats for the afternoon.

The Van Waffle Company - will be here waffling away the afternoon.

We have giant lawn games (Lego, Connect 4, Snakes and Ladders, Tetris, Jenga).

Midlands Air Ambulance & HWRF will be here with their Informative stalls for the afternoon.

We have a small selection of local craft stall holders joining us. (Cash & Card)

And finally we close the day with our Grand Raffle and this year we have some truly incredible prizes to be won 🎉

All the activities are free for everyone to enjoy for the afternoon, free parking & free entry.

Carl had a very successful and enjoyable holiday trip to Burnham-on-Sea from 18th to today 22nd May 2026

Carl had a wonderful time and engaged positively in a range of activities including beach walks, visits around the holiday village lake, shopping trips, restaurant outings, swimming and visits to The Helicopter Museum as well as The Blake Museum.

It was lovely to see Carl so happy and relaxed throughout the trip. I would especially like to thank the two staff members supporting him during the holiday, Masimba & Azeez.

Special thanks also go to Mathew for assisting with preparations and packing Carl’s suitcase, Linda, Louise, and Dave for helping with shopping for clothing and necessities, as well as Kirstie and Kamila for brilliantly organising all logistics and advance bookings which ensured the trip ran smoothly throughout.

Thank you as well to all colleagues who contributed towards making Carl’s holiday such a success.
