I hope you are coping okay with the lockdown. It's completely fine not to be fine sometimes. If it's all the time, then reach out for support. (It's okay to do it even if you are only struggling sometimes!)
It's tough for all of us. Some home circumstances are far from ideal for teachers, tutors and students. We can all just do our best. It's not as good as being in the classroom, but remote learning is better than nothing. Try to keep focussed in lessons and treat it like a class: no music on, no phone chat, make notes if relevant, or annotate texts.
We can't change how things are, it's beyond our control. So take control where you can - be kind to yourself; don't overdo unhealthy food; keep active (dance like a fool if you can't get outside), and don't be afraid of bad weather, it can be exhilarating to have wind and rain in your face if you are properly dressed, as dog walkers will know! Move around during breaks, don't just sit there. Honestly, it matters. Sometimes all it needs is a big mug of hot chocolate when classes are done.
We'll all come through and out of the other side. There are snowdrops out and other bulbs pushing through. It might stop raining eventually.
We all wish you the best in these seemingly never ending days, because they will end.

We hope that you had an enjoyable and restful Christmas break. It's very good to welcome 2021! For the teachers of 2nd years, the holiday was, as usual, dominated by marking drafts. Many students have worked really hard on these, and we want to spend time responding to your hard work. Don't worry if you have not had yours back yet, we are aiming to get them all done by the end of the first week back.
As you will be aware, there's a lot of 'debate' about when we will return face to face. There are meetings all weekend, and you will know as soon as a decision has been made.
Keep warm!
